Why do I have this vision of GM in big clown shoes, with a huge red nose?

Guaranteed if you go just outside the stadium where the unlicensed t shirt guys are selling shirts they'll have it... They ALWAYS have good ones. Bought one for 10 bucks some years ago that simply says bleep Pittsburgh...
It's going to be a good year for those guys because Johnny mania filters big time into the t-shirt business.

Yeah but that's along drive from dallas. My son already text me about getting one... he supposed to be studying in school,... so I may have bigger issues to deal with.

Spreadshirt.com is an option if you want your own.
web page
You will probably want to get someone else to do it for you. My quick version is up above. A person with some better art skills and programs would be able to cut out the elf. I'm sure you'll be able to find the shirts online soon enough or some nice dawgtalker will whip up some good ones.
Also Johnny is trying to trademark the term "Johnny Football" and is suing T-shirt makers for using it, so be careful out there

Looks like the Browns tried to trade for Cousins before selecting Manziel. Not sure it would have precluded us from taking Manziel, but I'm glad this trade fell through. I think Cousin's stinks. Trade attempt for Cousins

Mallett not headed to Houston Apparently the asking price was too high. I get really confused with these QB trades. If the Redskins took a risk taking a 4th round QB, he then proved himself capable, and has been groomed for several seasons, why on earth would the price be a 4th? Same deal with Mallet, the Pats took a QB in the 3rd and sat him behind Brady for a few seasons, why would he only be worth a 3rd? The 2nd round pick the Redskins supposedly would have accepted is much more reasonable to me. I don't think Cousins is worth that so I wouldn't make that trade, but in terms of value for the team that drafted the player...that is the only way it makes any sense to me.

what has Mallet proven on the field? how has Cousins looked on the field?
where they were drafted means nothing now. it's about where they are and it's just a huge question mark with Mallet.

Outside of Cousins playing against us, either guy is a question mark. Cousins looked like the next Andrew Luck against us. Against anyone not wearing orange and brown ..... he looked far more human.

They have survived in the league for multiple years and appear to hold trade value which is far more than can be said for most 3rd and 4th round players (especially QBs) years after they were drafted.

Yes, but just being drafted and sitting on the bench for a couple years doesn't mean you are worth a 1st or even 2nd round pick..
Am I the only one that pronounces hyperbole "Hyper-bowl" instead of "hy-per-bo-le"?

After having a few days to digest the news and all that, I've come to the conclusion that after we drafted a premier "Name" quarterback, I feel completely "Ho-Hum" about it.
I don't dislike it; it's just that I feel like I've seen this script played out here more than once before - and this time I'm waiting to see whether or not Charlie Brown actually gets to kick the football, or not, before I get excited.
Browns is the Browns
... there goes Joe Thomas, the best there ever was in this game.

Almost the same feeling that I had when Hoyer got injured against Buffalo.

I know.. and as far as life sucking the air out of your balloon moments in Browns history, that isn't even in the top 10.

The only way it takes 3 years is if he doesn't see the field his first year, which is highly unlikely.

My random opinions on the JM signing. First up, as stated in previous threads, I preferred Bridgewater OR going all in next year for Winston or Mariota (this was actually my preferred, I think we should have tanked next season). After trading down and getting a 2nd 1st round pick next year its actually the strategy I thought we would use. I didn't think we would draft a QB untill the late 3rd or 4th rounds. However saying that, when we traded up from 26 to 22 and JM name was called, I have to admit I danced around the office (it was about 2pm Australian time, my work colleagues looked at me weird, cause not being into NFL they had no idea why I was excited). There is an excitement about the guy, which even as someone that didn't think we should have drafted I still got carried away. Emotion out the way. What do we do with JM? he is a Brown so I am now a huge Homer.... Cleveland should be renamed Johnny Football At 21... young to be a QB in the NFL, Yet I don't believe Hoyer is a quality starter in the NFL (sorry I am just not a fan). Its a reason I don't think we should have drafted him (his age). Do we start JM? I think we do. I just don't think JM is the kind of player that can sit for a year or two (Garoppolo is in the perfect position to sit for 2-3 yrs). IMO JM needs game time. What sets him apart is his will to win, rather than his QB skills. I am just worried that by siting him will, without play time, will stagnant his drive to win (which again IMO is his biggest asset). You have to build the offence around him, do it now rather than later. And for those concerned about durability, just how many games did Hoyer play last year.

We got Johnny Football!!!
Best draft pick since Joe Thomas.
I firmly think we are on the correct path.
I think playoffs are within reach in 2015.
