Yep! I think all of those women holding those signs should pitch in money, buy a retired Air Force jet, buy M-16's and all go after the terrorists. That makes perfect sense to me!

I must say this with all candor. My father was a Mstr. Sgnt. in the Army. The way I was raised by him, the abduction of 300 girls or women would be a cause for action. It would not take a campaign to draw attention in order to cause action.
He would have felt a need to see something done to remedy the situation. Because he felt wrong was wrong. He felt that women and their safety was an obligation of men.
The very fact anyone even attempts to label this as conservative or liberal, IMO, has lost all focus on an atrocity that has happened to 300 girls. It takes away from any form of compassion that we should all feel towards the victims that were abducted.

Frankly, I'm a little surprised that this is even a politically decisive issue.
A group of girls got kidnapped, and people are showing their support for them.
And yet there's this whole argument about how liberals and conservatives plan to handle it.
Meanwhile, I'm not seeing much of a difference in opinion. If we somehow get some magical scenario where a SEAL Team to get these guys in their sights, who is arguing that you hold fire?
What is the political storyline here outside of 'people don't like Michelle Obama'?

I wonder what's up with the Sudanese lady that married a Christian, in Sudan, and has been sentenced to death because she became pregnant and won't renounce her Christianity. Suppose that will get any attention?

Probably not.
Sadly, a single individual in a human rights violation in an impoverished country isn't likely to draw too much attention.
You never know what may catch on these days. though.

I heard about it a couple days ago on an NPR program. They did a 10-minute spot on it, including in-depth background on the story, and 2 interviews... one, with a Middle East scholar, and another with a family member or close friend- I can't remember.
It HAS gotten some attention... but I doubt that most Americans will ever hear a peep about ti.
