Think James will tell Riley he is done. no one else there except Paul. No Arison, Spo, or Wade. It's over for the heat..

I'm not sure how to take that.

However, it has been reported that James does not like the fact that Arison as behind dumping Miller without replacing him to save tax money ....... and it was also tweeted (for whatever it's worth) that when Wade and Lebron met, Wade told him to do whatever will make him happiest.

Who knows though? I do think that we find out tonight though.

I agree there. you don't turn down the best player even if it's for 1 year. heck he could leave next summer as long as we win a championship..

They have no money or assets. The Cavs will have cap room, trade assets, and the veteran exceptions.

Am I going to be upset if he only signs for 2 years? Yeah..

But that 2 year better just be him lining up his last contract at whatever age he wants to retire or whatever.. Because I ain't going through this crap again.. Because it will happen..

If he's here 2 years, and for some god awful reason, we don't win a title? What then?

that would be hard to believe if we didn't win 1 in 2 years. I would imagine Love is coming too.

I could see the Cavs not winning. The Spurs, Thunder, Clippers, Rockets, and Bulls (if the get Carmelo) are all very good teams. If they get LeBron the Cavs are in the mix. If they don't they are a 6-8 seed.

I don't think you understand the leverage LeBron has, the whole league is going to change/not change based on his one decision. Bosh, Carmelo, Gasol, Deng, and dozens of other players are waiting to see what he does before they make their choices.

You know how when you get really excited for something..

But then you have to wait for it..

So then your mind starts going, and eventually you find yourself on the opposite end looking in..

I think I'm at that point... I'll be back around soon enough.. I just need this too end..

I thought waiting for the NFL draft an extra two weeks was bad...

Sign me up for two years of Lebron, with the idea of re-evaluating after that.

Here's a thought experiment. Imagine an NBA without a salary cap, luxury tax, or max contracts. How much would Lebron be worth on the open market? I say Prokhorov offers him a 5 years, $500 million.

And we're going to dictate terms of the contract? Come on.

we would be a shoe in to get to the finals every year. A trio of James-Irving-Love would destroy the east until a team like the Knicks got better. I'm assuming Melo stays in New York.

Well, if he only signs for 2 years, then we definitely do not go get Love. No way does he sign a long term deal here if Lebron only signs for 2.

We would probably go forward with the base of Irving, Lebron, Wiggins, Bennett, Thompson, Andy, Waiters, and Delli. We could still add a few players this year, and next year would have Haywood's $10 million non guaranteed deal to use in a trade next year as well. I think that we .would have to add younger role player type pieces, as opposed to a 3rd superstar in that case.

I don't know if that gives Lebron what he wants. There are no guarantees we get Love anyway ..... but those idds drop to probably no more than 10% in favor if Lebron only signs short term.

Bingo.

Why anyone would think they get to dictate terms in this scenario is beyond me. Hurt feelings don't matter in business negotiations.

Chris Broussard seems to almost want this Lebron move to happen now. Brian Windhorst doesn't seem as enthused ... of course he would have to leave the warm weather of Miami and come back to Cleveland though.

Windhorst bascially told Cav fans they were delusional abut lebron coming back., now he is in the " i dont know what the hell I am talking about" dance mode and trying to back track.

I just assumed he was a Lebatard clone and regurgitated all that pro Miami crap.

Then again I still think lebron is going back to miami soooooo what does it really matter?

There are 3 hours time difference between the west coast and east coast.

Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.
