Oh, and I just threw out a couple of possible reasons. That's all. I didn't write the damn thing.
Micah 6:8; He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God.
John 14:19 Jesus said: Because I live, you also will live.

Alright. We'll see how it goes. Not that you will remember if it goes my way. Kinda like how you were recently ripping me on the LeBron thread when I said that Cleveland and Miami were the top two landing spaces for him. And after it is all over, you say: "Did I say that..."

I honestly don't recall "ripping you". I may have disagreed .... but that's not ripping someone. I know that I went from never believing that Lebron would return this year, to thinking that he might, to being sure he would ...... to being sure we would wind up being screwed like Houston was when they waited and made decisions for Bosh ....... to being ecstatic about him actually coming back, especially after I read his essay. I disputed the statement that you made stating that the Heat "had more talent than most are giving them credit for" ..... and gave my reasons why ..... I also said that I wondered if Miami was a favorite to re-sign him if they remained unwilling to spend money around him. (Using the Miller incident as an example, and posting a supporting article) This is what I said last month. Doing a search of your name, and "LeBron" and "Lebron" yields 6 replies in a period of time from a few weeks ago to 2 years ago. Here is an exact quote as far as what I said to you: Quote:
I do not think that he will return to Miami this year. I do not think that Miami will be able to offer him what he wants, which is both a superstar running mate or 2, and roster depth so he does not have to carry the team on his shoulder by himself.
You were stick on this "the top 2 destinations are Cleveland and Miami: ..... and yes, I was wrong, and that is how it turned out. I thought that Miami was working their way out of the equation.
At another point you said:
Quote:
So, you are disputing my claim that Miami and Cleveland are the top two choices of LeBron?
To which I responded:
Quote:
I am disputing that they "have more talent than most might expect" ........
They are the big 3, and that's about it for next year. If they opt out, then the heat have nothing. Truly nothing. I don't know any team that would want to start out building around Norris Cole and Udonis Haslem.
Lebron has said that he will not take a pay cut without roster upgrades, and I doubt that he just means adding Melo. (and that just doesn't work financially without huge pay cuts for everyone)
I then posted a supporting article for my position.
That is really all I can find about Lebron as far as discussions between you and I. I said one thing, and you kind of argued that I said something different. My argument was that I thought that Miami could put themselves out of the picture if they proved unwilling to spend the money necessary to surround James with the talent he felt was necessary.
*Sigh* As happens far too often, a debate with you turns into something that never was. You see some huge offense, and seem to take personal affront whenever someone has a viewpoint different than yours, or when someone debates a point you make.
I'm used to it from you though.

I agree, and I think its a fair assessment based on what little we really know at this point. Low enough to sneak up on some people, but high enough to be on the verge of relevance. Don't look now, but either Ravens or Bengals will be top ten - maybe both. Make it even nicer to pound them.

I truly believe by the end of the season we will be in the 10-15 range and knocking on the playoff door ... JMHO

PastorMarc, can you put in the fix for us? I really think we have a lot of potential in a number of areas, and if some of them surprise to the upside, we may be beyond competitive. Some of those ranked "above" us are beatable IMO, and we may raise some in our own division. I am open to divine intervention; I really do not care who wins us games. Just win, baby!

jc...
With everything in Cleveland "new" again...new coaching staff on both sides of the ball...it's hard for me to go out on a limb and predict based on an "unknown".
With no record of performance, I'm not about to state a ranking for the "Pre-Season" Browns.
After the Pre Season, then I might feel like giving the 2014 Browns a "Pre-Season" power ranking...but not until they produce something that can be ranked.

Do you have any evidence to support this opinion, or is it just a feeling?

Since when do you need "evidence" to be supportive?

Without looking at the list so far, the top 3 will be Denver, San Francisco, and Seattle.

I feel like Denver is going to be set up for a huge let down this year. Call me crazy, but I just feel like Peyton will hit a wall at some point where his body just can't continue with the greatness of his mind.
I feel like they expect a lot more out of guys like TJ Ward than they're going to get. Just got that feeling, man...

I don't get the Ward signing ..... because the Denver defense will face a ton of passing because their offense is so powerful, and Ward is far better against the run, playing in the box.
