LMAO. I mentioned Farmer because I was wondering if maybe we bring him in for a look. Good God.

Back to reality.
I heard Jonathan Baldwin got cut by the 49ers. He was a former first round pick of KC. I think Farmer was there at that time.
Which could be why Baldwin wasn't brought in. Oh wait. That's not what you meant? Silly you.

Baldwin is a huge receiver ..... and we do lack size at WR ..... but as you have said, he hasn't done much in his career to date.

Look, I don't care if you don't agree, but after all this time, you would think people would be wise enough to stop saying I am "goofy" or that I "don't make any sense."
I think you read way more in to my words then the intent.....oh well. You'll get over it because I know I have.

Eh, overrated coming out of school and is thought of as lazy. Not what we need IMO.

I don't think this offense is going to be good. I don't see enough talent or experience. I think we will have one of the league's worst offenses.
Every year you say something similar and every year I don't like hearing it. Every year it plays out the same, our offense isn't good.
Each time I have been able to come up with several improvements I've felt we've made. Be it more experienced players, draft and/or FA acquisitions, coaching, scheme or other considerations that I feel will make us better this/that year.
Every time all my potential improvements have come up short as it seems nothing ever changes. ...
Hence my question elsewhere, "Is it going to be different this year?"
I've still got 10+ years until retirement (assuming Social Security is solvent. Ha Ha.), but last time I was confident that this year we could go further than last year, Bernie Kosar was QB. At least we won lots of games back then. <sigh>

Here is how I see it.
Are we better on the O-line? Check
Are we better at TE? Check
Are we better at runningback? Check
Are we better at QB? Check
Are we better at receiver? Check
I don't see how anybody can say we aren't improved over last year. It makes no sense.
Probably better on O-line, but not much. Better at TE? No. Better at RB?? How could it be worse?? Better at QB? Too early to tell. Manziel could be Weeden II. Hoyer may have been flash-in-the-pan for a few games. Better at receiver? Maybe at supporting cast, but Gordon is likely out for the year, and he was far and away our best WR. That makes sense. No?

OL...the addition of Bitonio and McCastain make it a lot better. Sure, one can say they are unproven(in Bitonios case anyway) and you have to project, but people project our receivers by counting up the passes caught last year and somehow use that figure to say that is what the three or four of them will catch this year.
QB....we Had Weeden and Campbell starting maybe 70% of the games last year....we improved.
Back...I like what we have now over last years assortment of backs. Who in here doesn't?
Receiver...this is the one area for debate....if Gordon loses time. If he does, we do lose a weapon....not question about it. Last year he caught 87 for a tad over 1600 yards and 9 TD's. Solid stuff no doubt. I just feel that someone will play the position and put up decent number.

I am the one person who brought up how many catches they had. I did so because it is a fact. I did not say that proves how many they will catch this year. However, it sure beats people who just say I know this year's group is far superior to last year's group, or better at WR...check.
There are a couple of other factors one might consider. Burrleson and Austin were both unemployed. They have both been injured. Austin did not even have one visit other than the Browns during free agency. I also factored in where non biased publications had our receivers ranked. Austin and Burleson are also at an advanced age. Hawkins is a bit younger, but he is a slot guy. He is not the stretch the field type of player that you claimed. So, you may scoff at my interpretation of our WR position, but what did you provide to back-up your claim besides I know this group is better.
Look, I am not saying they can't be good, but at this point in time, it's a stretch. With that said, if Gordon wins his appeal, the entire dynamics change.
