lol unless Manziel hurts himself first by twisting his own ankle due to the horrendous footwork

I know that a still shot seldom tells gthe entire story, but looks like an ole' block on Mingo.

Coming from the backside.... there is a big hit in waiting, the kind that gets a QB hurt ... or in our case a 15 yard penalty... lol

Isn't that Joe Thomas, #73, who appears to have let Ming go?

Of course, a still picture, especially of a moving QB like Manziel, can be deceiving. He can run and get out of position for his blocking ...... a Tackle can think that he blocked his guy past the pocket, only to fond that the QB is no longer in the pocket. It is probably the hardest part of blocking for a mobile QB, and why an unskilled running QB can run himself into as much trouble as he runs out of.

Mostly I watch games simply because I'm a fan. I just like Football.

This was my thought on preseason games. Yes, I'll be watching for some of things others have stated, but, overall, I like watching football. I've watched every televised game so far because I like it.

None of this really matter until we visit Pittsburgh, though.

That picture is cool because of the 3 different players.

Manziel's footwork and arm angle are all messed up, but I bet the odds are good he made the play. That's Johnny Football.

Then, look at Mingo. He's low, in the process of squaring up, and his eyes are intent on getting there.

Finally, there is Schwartz who is probably thinking: "oh $#1+!!!"

Exactly my initial thoughts as well.

Looks to me like he was on the run and he's about to plant the back foot to still get some velocity on the ball while on the move.

Fundamental? Hell no, but if we're expecting fundamental QB play, we should have never drafted Johnny Football in the first place

Is that 72, or 73?

That looks like 73 to me ...... but I could be wrong.

Never mind, the caption identifies him as Schwartz.

I don't doubt that for a minute. I just think that it's funny how completely discombobulated he looks setting up.

For the Browns I look to see if they appear to be ready to play against real comp or if they look like a expansion team again.

Has anyone seen the new CBS football commercial? Pretty neat to see Mingo as one of the players.

He did enough unique and special things last year - including football smart plays - that I have a lot of hope. Do I wish he was 15lb beefier - sure. But i think he can be special in this D.

Mingo had a nice sack, but has not looked much better against the run from what I've seen thus far

Player that stood out head and shoulders above the other rookies - Bitinio - every time I rewound and watched a play the dude locked on to someone and was tossing them around or pushing them back. Guy looked like a total stud.
