He really does. Big and quick
"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."

Remember, JF is not playing with the first stringers either.

If this was a regular season game yes he would need to come out. In the pre season rookies need to get a trial by fire like this. It is how they grow as a player so hopefully when they see time in the regular season they will not be making those same mistakes.

Hoyer didn't have a fantastic night either. Inaccurate on almost all of his long balls.

If Hoyer isn't the long term solution, why don't we let Johnny sit for the year? Like for the first time in 14 years? Let him get used to the speed of the game perhaps?
WE DON'T NEED A QB BEFORE WE GET A LINE THAT CAN PROTECT HIM my two cents...

Better learn to tuck the football and run. He does carry very dangerously.

No he didn't,I just think he's our best option to go with.JF will just lose us games,I can tell he isn't ready for the defenses at this level.

I'm a fan of who gives us the best chance to win. If that Hoyer, so be it. If that's JF, so be it.
JF just missed a wide open target.

Yeah, in a backfield crowded with capable backs... that's not how you make the team Dion!

I agree on August 9th Brian Hoyer is ahead on Manziel. But, the million dollar question is who will be ahead on Septmeber 7th.

Exactly...he needs to learn how to read a defense,or it will get ugly fast.If Hoyer stinks it up,or gets hurt then of course put him in,but I wouldn't rush the kid.

Lol @ The JFF hate.
I don't think it's hate as much as it is keeping him healthy and move him along slowly.
I'd rather have a quality QB vs a torn up Tim Couch. that never develops.
I really like this Gabriel kid.

So, Krause cut by morning?
Manziel looks pretty good. Shoulda dumped off to fullback rather than run on 4th Down, though. Manziel put that last one on the receiver's worst spot: right on the hands.
Didn't see Hoyer on 1st half yet. It's on DVR. Check later.

Hoyers stats are terrible but he looked 100x better than his stats.

I don't think that he necessarily needs to come along slowly ...... he needs an OL to block for him. He has been under immediate pressure too often tonight. He does need to work on his hot reads .... and he does need to work on his reads overall ......but I think that he has time to get there.
I bet that if he plays with the 1's next week, he will look extremely better.

One thing about Manziel I really liked is he seemed to improve with each drive, This last drive he was very sharp and his recievers let him down.
That shows the ability to process information quickly and execute. Something we really did not see from Weeden.
