3rd and 6... I'd say give it to Baker right up the gut!

No, no. no. That would be too creative and innovative.

Everyone expects the pass, so the Browns throw INC.

Way to go Oby on special teams!

Leon McFadden must be hating himself

"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."

These secondary rules are adding to new stupid rule changes that are ruining football.

I honestly don't think Leon did anything wrong there

lol yeah just pack your crap and go. the lack of athleticism in our backups is alarming

A few thoughts....first..wow, we suck still...any injuries on this team outside of Rb, and Dline and we are looking at 3-13 at best..our secondary is horrid after the starters as is our second string oline...we better really be scouring the waiver wire for Oline, CB, S, WR and LB.

The playcalling with JFF in was stupid. Set up to fail from the get go. I will say JFF has a MUCH stronger arm than hoyer...I really hope JFF pans out because i really don't think hoyer has an NFL arm...I didn't see a single NFL caliber throw tonight. I really want to see JFF play with people that arent going to be bagging groceries tomorrow. Thigpen can go at anytime.

Our running game looks much better. i feel comfortable that we have some guys there now. Our starting Oline seems to be much more mobile this year.

Bottom line it was preseason game 1, its supposed to suck...but there is an obvious and vast drop off in talent at many positions. Teams that win consistently have decent players at the bottom of the roster, we don't have any...hopefully we continue to build

General game thoughts....refs sucked..soo many ticky tack..I hope they loosen up as seaon goes...they really need to let CB's play..I felt bad for Leon..most of those were good plays any other year.

All of that and you didn't mention how horrible our special teams coverage were? Lots of flags on the later-string defense. Lots...

I'm glad we won't have to worry about out 4th string playing much.

we will be fine. I'd say 7-9 or 8-8

9-7 10-6 with Gordon playing for at least 8 games.

Whitner just called out some backup corners

yeah..lol i forgot about them...I'm amazed that Tabor has survived as long as he has...he must have some interesting pictures of someone. I think pettine needs to concentrate more on playing disciplined instead of having lineman kicking field goals

I know.

But, a few things I noticed. If these are the officials that went on strike then the league might want to bring back the replacement refs.

Johnny Manziel has some learning to do before he should be given a legit shot at starting in the NFL.

I think Tyler Thigpen won't make the roster.

The OL depth is mostly garbage. They need to be better than that.

I think that Shanahan needs to call a better game then he did this first preseason game.

Pierre Desir had some serious issues out there and he better learn quick.

Terrence West is the real deal and will probably be the #1 RB by the time the season starts.

Our receivers still need to work on catching the ball.

Lots of fumbles in a controlled climate. Strange. They couldn't claim the ball was wet.

I'm not sure what you are trying to say or to who, I'm hardly upset over this game and even indicated I understand its just a preseason game...but it doesn't make what I saw any less obvious.. you can still say something sucks without going off the deep end about it

a couple other things, i think johnson might be worth holding on to, I also like Gray..i think thigpen should be strung up by the nuts for hanging him out to dry like that..Gray will contribute to the team...Thigpen will contribute to society by making sure my groceries are properly sorted and bagged for my convenience..no way should some of the guys we had be playing that late

This game was like putting lipstick on a pig. I hope they get their crap in order for the next games. Otherwise this year will suck.

Par for the course I guess.

I only saw hi lights on the news. At first I thought we won cause there were no hi lights of Detroit. They were ALL Hoyer and JFF. Then I noticed we lost by one crummy point. Good Hi lights though!!!

I was at the game. 1st half was boring, nothing but FGs. Little league game they had at halftime was more exciting.

JM has learning to do but can tell he is a playmaker and will be a star. I want to see him with the first team. If the Browns could have held onto the ball, would have blown the Lions out. Team has depth problems but with a few more drafts and FAs, will be a playoff contender soon! Hang in there fellow Brownies, it's going to get better.
