I'd like to buy one-- Punchsmack, where did you find that? I looked on the Steelers, Ravens, and Bungles' team shops but couldn't locate one.

But seriously, I want one.

I hope it's on sale, like we said, it's about to need at least one more name once Manziel takes a snap.

Just put Manziel on the back..

We're going full circle here, #2 to #2..

don't forget the backups that never won there. Of course those backups might have started here.

But I frown no more.

This is the first QB Competition where we got WINNERS not of the well I guess he isn't as bad as the other guy competitions we have had.

Don't forget about Curtis Painter, Dan Orlovsky, & Kerry Collins in 2011. And also, Jim Sorgi took quite a few snaps from time to time too (especially in the last game of the 2007 season ).

So that's at least 6 QBs since '99 in Indy.

Not sure why Sexy Rexy wasn't signed before we brought in Thigpen or Vince Young. All this camp and Rex could have been helping Kyle install his system.

Ah well... welcome to the QB graveyard known as Cleveland Grossman!!!!!!!!!!!

I am OK with Grossman. I am happy to see Thigpen go. Hope we keep Shaw, and see him on the field. I think he has good skills and potential.

Sorry, late for the party. Been away from the computer all day.

All I'm adding is the idea of trading Hoyer because we picked up Rex is LUDICROUS!

I've already seen it here & all over Facebook as well. What...the....HECK are people thinking???

After watching him against Detroit, I concur; he sucked.

I don't see how bringing someone in who knows how to help implement the system could be a bad thing. But as some others have mentioned, I do wonder why it wasn't done sooner.

Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.

Maybe a money move. Early on the player and agent have one idea. A few weeks in to camp the thinking changes.

That said, I think our thinking would have changed had another team reached out to Rex. Rex was destined to play for us this season and probably next.

Grossi said on the radio that it was because Grossman was hoping to catch on as a #2 somewhere and when that didn't happen he finally reached out to Shanahan and they made the deal. TIFWIW

Not a fan of "Sexy Rexy."

I actually liked how Thigpin was in Manziel's ear on Saturday. He seemed like a good mentor. Sexy Rexy will not be a good mentor. Yeah, he knows the offense, but research the guy and you will see what I mean.

I heard Grossi say that Miami was down to Quinn or Grossman, chose BQ, so Grossman went to plan B.

It very easily could have been a money move by Miami. Grossmans vet minimum is less than Quinn's.

Vers I think thats 90% of why we released Thigpen and signed Grossman. He has a history with this offense, he has a history of being that guy in the rookie QBs ear and he did well in that role. The entire point is not in Grossman's skills but he cannot be worse than Thigpen in that department. Its in what he Says in Manziel's ear. We can pretty much Assume he can provide better knowledge so the kid learns faster. Again this all adds up to Hoyer starting and Manziel learning as fast as he can.

Just my speculation.

I agree. I also think Hoyer starts unless Johnny is heads and shoulders above. Even if he is a little past Hoyer, Hoyer starts. Once Manziel is handed the ball, it's going to be hard to go back to hoyer if things aren't working well.

Better to start Johnny a few games late then a few games early....and a few games might mean more than 3-4-5.

Even better in my mind is to have a few big leads in 4th quarters allowing Manzeil to come in and play a few series in a cleanup role. Allowing him real games reps without much pressure. I feel like any D is going to get up to play him regardless of the score. It'll bring him along slowly but with live bullets.

If you think handing off the ball will help him. Or get that Kneeling thing down pat

In the past if the team is doing bad 3-10...we could be assured he would get the ball for the last 3 games thing. I think that happened with Frye when Dilfer started?

Of course I would think if we were 3-10 he would have gotten the nod a lot sooner. All I know is we have to be in the Hunt for Hoyer to keep on starting. JM will become more n more ready as the season goes along. The only thing to deter him from starting is Hoyer winning.

jmho

Who wasn't in pads today so he wouldn't get hurt?

Who looked like they were getting a serious discussion in with the owner?

Andre Johnson maybe straight up for Josh Gordon?

This morning on the radio (923 The Fan) they were talking about Hoyer and how much Bill O' Brien likes Hoyer. And considering their mess at QB in Houston, it was logical that Hoyer could be in the mix at some point if the price was right and Manziel began to separate from the pack.

Who knows, if Manziel plays well in Washington and these tweets are in reference to Hoyer rumors, Houston could be a destination to get back together with O' Brien.

Personally, I doubt it. It would really suck if Manziel went down and you see Grossman trotting on the field to replace him. (pretend throwing up emoticon)
