Fine. Lets cut him. Sign hero boy Hoyer to a HUGE deal. Why do you feel the need to compare the two as if they're tied to each other? And if we draft another QB next year, if he doesn't play like Tom Brady his VERY FIRST GAME, we CUT him immediately. ...and we're into Tom Brady references and comparisons. Ah, the dead season.

HOYER has his chance in the 2nd half to bring us a win and I hope he does ... GO BROWNS Based upon what I have heard the last few weeks, you seem to be right. Can you imagine the problems if Hoyer wins this game and plays well and wins next week? I don't see this as a problem at all. It's simple, you resign him and carry the momentum into the 2015 season. Sure, sign him LONG term. Make sure you give him so much you CAN'T play another QB. Then sit back and watch him suck for the next five years.

isn't a coverage sack just a failure on the QB to throw the ball away? The announcers just said it was a coverage sack...my limited knowledge just says why now throw it away?

If he threw it away and he was still in the tackle box (which he was), would've been intentional grounding. Loss of down and yardage.

No, we're in to morons judging a rookie QB's entire future based on one and a half games. Troy Aikman went 1-15 his first year. You guys would have cut him after two games. The minute they drafted Johnny I spoke against it. A TINY QB that runs a lot. NOT a good combination. But to insist that he can't play after 1 1/2 games is stupid. NO one can tell what a QB will be like after that short a time. Certainly not some forumite
