Spirit has a point. Even though Thomas made it, he's done anything but earn it this year. He's in because he is respected by his peers. No way he earned by his play on the field. Off topic...this will be Joe's 8th Pro Bowl selection. He has no playoff game appearances. Dick Butkus also had 8 Pro Bowls without a playoff appearance. Does anyone know if there are players with more Pro Bowl appearances WITHOUT playing in a playoff game? Thanks. Interesting question.... I can't think of any but it's certainly possible. Lot of great players on bad teams over the years. OJ comes to mind but I think they made the playoffs occasionally. Barry Sanders was on some bad teams but they squeaked in here and there...

4 rushing tds for West and 8 for Crowell. Not a bad stat considering how pitiful our rushing game was last season.... I like Shanahans offense. Shanny's offense is better than we've had in the past, but, man does he call some head scratchers from time to time. I absolutely hate the pistol. It should be dropped. The pistol was extremely effective early on, for the run game. It is harder to run out of the shotgun, and the pistol is a nice middle ground.

Can we stop these long chain replies about non-game related content?  Feel free to ignore those posters.  Chat room is broken! Hard to follow some of the actual content. The conversation is fine, but the crazy long chain replies are like O_O. I don't like blocking posters though, even the ones I deem not so bright, it what makes these forums fun for me

Why does our defense play its worst right after we score.. Because teams don't open up their playbooks against us because they know they can play conservative and don't need a lot of points to beat us. As soon as we show some life they simply turn it on.

Should've picked that though. LOL. i agree. Haden has really blossomed into a top corner this season. His best as a Pro I believe. he's played against some REALLY good receivers and held his own against all of them.

He's afraid to throw the ball. Do you still feel he's afraid? Yes, it's pretty obvious. You don't have to be even all that observant to see it. Well, if he is, it's for good reason. Rookie First NFL Start Can send opponent home for the playoffs Can get his team to .500 Playing to show the Coach he might be "THE GUY" I can see where a rookie could get a little sheepish or perhaps the word is careful.

It's funny, Thomas gets he benefit of the doubt on this board, while Haden catches flack. Good stuff though. We should get rid of Haden, we don't like talent around here.
