Oh no. $1.2 million to fund something that the gov't. has spent hundreds of millions on trying to show the opposite.
(author had a super nice reference to Exxon, API, AND - get this, the Koch foundation. Buzzwords).
Yes, we DO deserve an honest debate. Sadly, we can't get one.
Why - since the earth has warmed and cooled over its millions of years - why is it in just a fraction of that it's become the fault of humans?
Anybody hear of the sun?

Nope - there's only been a legion of thousands of really smart people working on this problem 60 hours a week. You're the first person to think that the sun might be important. Amazing how everybody else missed that. Congratulations!

Is he also going to investigate funding of pro-climate change research? Nope.. The revelations have increased calls from proponents of climate action for more disclosure on who is funding contrarian climate science.

Beef producers say Obama is trying to kill their industry “Legumes should be a mainstay of an American diet?” Thorpe said. “A wheel barrel of spinach is better for you?” According to a June 2014 study in the journal Climatic Change, the average meat-eater in the United States is responsible for almost twice as much global warming as the average vegetarian and almost tripled that of the average vegan. The Oxford University study dissected the diets of 60,000 individuals – 2,000 vegans, 15,000 vegetarians, 8,000 fish-eaters and close to 30,000 meat-eaters – and found the difference in diet-driven carbon footprints was significant. The Oxford study found that cutting a person’s meat intake could cut a person’s carbon footprint by 35 percent. Go vegan and slash your carbon footprint by 60 percent. http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2015/02/...g-americans-to/

They can have my meat only when they can pry it from my cold dead ass I sort of questioned that post too. I mean at that juncture it wouldn't really be meat would it?
Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.

I don't know why people still don't think we should do anything. I remember some Christian philosopher say something to the effect of everyone should believe in God because it's logical. He then drew this table that I'll crudely try to recreate over text.
God Is Real | God isn't real ______________________________________________________________________ Believe| You are going to Heaven | You lived a just and right life __________________________________________________________________________ Don't Believe| You go to hell | Nothing changes
You can use this same exact example for climate change.
Climate Change is Real | Climate Change isn't ________________________________________________________________ Believe it| Help prolong the human race| Live a cleaner Life _____________________________________________________________ Don't believe| We're screwed | Nothing changes
Clearly you want to avoid the bottom left options.

Thank you so much. I got so mad at myself when I forgot what it was called. I remember the wiki on it was borderline interesting, so I'm going to go bookmark it.

So, what has this legion of thousands of really smart people discerned about the earth warming and cooling over its entire existence? That the last 100-200 years is the cause of it? The Industrial Revolution. We start burning off MASS quantities of materials (i.e. coal) that took millions of years to age and compact, and convert it into energy while the population increases at absurd rates- lending itself to an ever intensified use of those resources. Turns out said resources emit lots of CO2. Spikes in CO2 emissions are associated with every notable extinction event of the last 100 or so million years. In just a 200 year span (start of Industrial revolution), CO2 levels are the highest they've been in over 500,000 years. I'm skeptical that's a coincidence. http://climate.nasa.gov/evidence/Just check the graph. Way more has to be at play than the sun. I don't see how an honest, rational person would just dismiss that.
