Scherrf, and Fowler never make it to pick 12 in Mocks.
That's ok, they aren't quarterbacks, and they never make it to pick #12 in mocks, so don't talk with them, common sense.

So why meet with OT. La'el Collins, twice unless you really love OT. La'el Collins.

He fits the same criteria, is not a QB, and never makes it to #12 in mock drafts, so pretty transparent, Browns want this guy in a big way.

At least it seems that way to me.

Can Deshaun Watson play better for the Browns, than Baker Mayfield would have? ... Now the Games count.

Cleveland Browns

Breshad Perriman met with Ray Farmer, Browns officials

Posted: 04/27/2015, 02:40pm | Zach Gase, Digital Editor at Sun Times Network

The Cleveland Browns are badly in need of a dynamic, play-making wide receiver, so it comes as no surprise General Manager Ray Farmer had dinner with Central Florida’s Breshad Perriman Sunday night.

Farmer, along with other Browns officials dined with Perriman, who ran an impressive 4.26 on his pro day, a league source confirmed with Northeast Ohio Media Group.

Browns draft preview

With less than a week until the NFL Draft, the Browns’ interest in the Central Florida wide receiver appears to be growing.

Many believe Perriman is the fourth best wideout in the draft, behind Alabama’s Amari Cooper, West Virginia’s Kevin White and Louisville’s DeVante Parker.

Perriman, who stands at 6’2″ and weighs 214, has good size and is among the fastest prospects in the draft.

More from Cleveland.com:

For the Browns to spend that kind of time and money so close to the draft is a clear sign that they’re seriously considering Perriman in the first round, where they own the No. 12 and No. 19 picks.

Gaining steam from some experts, including NFL Network’s Mike Mayock as the fourth-best receiver in the draft behind Alabama’s Amari Cooper, West Virginia’s Kevin White and Louisville’s DeVante Parker, Perriman could be available to the Browns at No. 19, where he’d be a good value.

“He ran faster than I expected and I think most of the league expected,” Mayock said on air after Perriman’s pro day. “When you run 4.25, that’s significant. I think what it does is it places it in the conversation with those top three guys.”

Perriman has reportedly met with 18 teams over the past couple of weeks. The Browns have met with Cooper and Parker for pre-draft visits, and reportedly met with White the night before his pro day.

The Browns could be worried about overreaching for a wideout at number 12, with Cooper and White being off the board. At 19, though a player like Parker or Breshad Perriman would be a nice pick.

Last year Farmer received a lot of backlash from fans and media for neglecting to select a wide receiver, in a draft full of them, to replace a suspended Josh Gordon. This year, Farmer will likely not make the same mistake, though many are worried he could over-reach on a pass catcher.

More from Cleveland.com:

“If there’s a receiver that provides the best value and the best player, then we’ll probably take that guy,” Farmer said at his pre-draft press conference last week. “If there’s not and there’s a guy that we think who can influence our team or help our team in a different way, in a better way, we’ll take that guy. Somehow I’m ‘anti-wide receiver.’ That’s not the case at all. I do think that we have guys who can contribute and can play. To that effect, I think our guys played pretty well last year, and I think they’ll do the same this year and probably do a little bit better.”

Perriman scares me in the fact that hes this sudden high riser (Happens every year) his hands are more iffy than anyone projected in the top 3 rounds as WR...Its not unusual for players to run much faster on pro days...IDK kind of hoping someone already snatches him up, so we don't find ourselves in a position to grab him.

Oh my gosh he is so overrated. I don't see how anyone can watch him and think he's a first rounder. If we trade up for Shelton and take Perriman? Oh man. That would be terrible.

I'm not sure what to think of Perriman. I think his hands are better than the pre-draft rumors would have you believe. I think people are trying to get him to drop. He does have things to clean up, mainly route running. He does have some bad looking drops, but I think a lot of that is due to the ball his QB throws. It seems to hang in the air for a long time on deep throws. I actually like Perriman on his underneath routes a lot. He gets great separation and can make tough grabs in traffic. Hangs on even after big hits. Looks like he has good YAC potential running with the ball. He has surprisingly good awareness and instincts as far as recognizing blitzes and making himself available to his QB and finding the soft spots in zone coverage. Could use some work along the sideline as far as letting himself drift out of bounds against physical coverage. My biggest concern is probably his change of direction. I haven't been able to track down shuttle or 3 cone times and he looks a little slow in those situations to my eye. He's definitely a prospect I would want to meet with before picking, but if that went well I could see us taking a shot if the big 3 are gone.

I agree, would not be a big fan of Shelton and Perriman, especially with a trade up. I'm not a fan of trading up for anyone in this draft really.

I'd really have liked to see Perriman with better QB play. I can see the allure with Perriman's ability to stretch a D vertically and horizontally, but he's another one of those projection picks.

Especially a receiver. Catching a Ball is a fundamental learned at a young age. If he can't do it by now, he doesn't have it. Don't waste your time. That is like selecting a RB who can't run. It's dumb.

How many Quincy Morgans do some of you people need to see?

I'd normally agree, but who in this draft isn't a project?

Perriman sounds like another Quincy Morgan. Let someone else take him. We need a Wr who can first and foremost catch the darn ball!!!

Quincy Morgan didn't run a 4.2 forty.

Perriman can catch. If he has his head towards it, he's great usually. His drop problem seems to be more patience than hands to me. Waiting is not natural in football. It's constantly 4-6 seconds of action. His QBs deep throws hang a lot make him wait for the ball and giving DBs time to converge. He wants to make a play on the ball and can often jump early expecting the ball to get at him faster. I think better QB play will mitigate this source of drops.

He's kind of the reverse Devin Smith at this point. He's fearless in traffic, but not the greatest at deep balls. However, I see this as much easier to improve at than shying from contact. With our QBs, I also see him as a better fit. With his separation on drag routes, it's a much easier throw than a deep ball.

If Devin Smith can be a late first early second kind of guy, I don't see why Perriman can't.

I agree...taking projects and reaching for players inspires a phenomenon known as "Busts" lol something we as Browns excel at.

Perriman at 19 isn't a project though
