I wondered when you'd chime in on this, lol. I thought of you as soon as they announced Shelton's name.

I think we improved tremendously.

Yep, what he said. I'm more than OK with those two players. Even more so today than yday after the picks were announced.

Farmer and Pettine preach versatility. These picks really shouldn't be a surprise. Of the guys who projected as the best run stuffing nose tackles, Shelton adds the most pass rush. Erving is the most versatile lineman.

They might not have been my picks, but they seem to have a plan/philosophy, and it looks like they are sticking to it. Hard-nosed, smash mouth, win in the trenches. I can get behind it.

Philadelphia took Agolhor immediately after you Browns should have.

You mean they aren't your Browns???

I don't see the possible bad news...I can understand that some value certain IMPACT more than others. Both are Grunt picks. Which is never BAD FOOTBALL!

smh...some of you and your WRs.

Nice to see some common sense draft picks in the first round for once. I'm hoping the FO sticks to this plan of building in the trenches for the second rd also.

I love receivers but there was only 3 worth taking in the first, I dotn think either Perriman or Agholor gives us anything we dont have in Gabriel to be honest.

The only thing Agholor would add outside of what we currently have at WR now is a punt returner... then again Gilbert was a heck of a punt returner in college too and he isn't used for it so who knows if he would have returned kicks for us or not.

I was laughing last night after the Eagles drafted Agholor and they brought up his measurable and he has the exact same height/weight and speed as Jeremy Maclin who Chip Kelly didn't want to sign so instead he drafts a Maclin clone in the 1st round... smh

Tonight in the 2nd round I would be happy with any of the following names to land in Cleveland...

Jaelen Strong WR/Arizona State
Maxx Williams TE/Minnesota
Denzel Perryman ILB/Miami
Bryce Petty QB/Baylor
Eli Harold OLB/Virginia
Benardrick McKinney ILB/Miss State.
Landon Collins S/Alabama

I wonder if McKinney would be an OLB with us?

We use the 19th overall pick to improve our depth?

Come on, Vers. It improves our depth and frontline. Even if he doesn't start right away that's likely because it lit a fire under Schwartz and Greco. I think he could be an upgrade over either.

Isn't Agholor about 6'0" tall and 200 lbs?

Isn't Perriman around 6'2" and 210 lbs?

Isn't Gabrriel around 5'7" and 165 lbs?

Weren't both of those guys drafted in round one while Gabriel went undrafted?

Come on, Vers? I am being ridiculous for saying we maybe should not have drafted at 19 to improve our depth?

I'm saying, it wasn't just for depth.

You don't think Erving will start for us?

I think he will, and he'll improve our run game. He's got the agressive finsher/nasty demeanor that I don't see from Schwartz.
