I don't see that happening at all. IMO Charlie will be here all year.

Probably so. As I said, it isn't a perfect world.

man, there already is a QB rift developing. half the posters on the best board online ( ) are saying Frye has to get in there while Quinn develops, and the other half is screaming for Quinn day one.

And if we are a microcosm of Cleveland, then my fears are coming true.

everytime soup brought up all the injuries we've had at QB and blamed it solely on the the OL all i did was LMAO at the IGNORANCE shown by him and those that believed it .... all u have to do is look at Phili a team with a top 5 OL EVERY YEAR and see they've gone through 6 different starting QB's the last 3 years .... kinda throws a KINK IN soups FLAWED argument (I can't say logic, cause i'm not sure he has any of that .. *L* .. ) ..

I used to respect you because I was blinded by the way you always belittled others to make yourself seem intelligent -- but the more I read you (involving OTHER posters you belittle which is everyone on the board), but you really know very very little about the sport and it shows more in every post. By the way, Phil Savage said that he'd be fine with our QBs as is prior to the draft because he knew he needed a LT before getting a "franchise QB." So you, wanting Quinn at #3 and crying about it, are the one with the flawed argunment - not me. Stop being so angry that my assessment that we needed a LT BEFORE we needed a QB was correct as we picked a LT BEFORE a QB.

i believe that whole-heartedly.

though i am almost certain Quinn will be the better QB come 9/9, i feel it would be folly to start him. Frye must be the starter, barring any severe off-season regression. Quinn, regarldess of how ready and competent he may prove himself to be, should not start before the bye, and not even see the field before week 3. JMH(and logical)O.

To Diam

Quote:

McNabb was carted off the field with a right knee injury with 14:48 remaining in the second quarter of Sunday's loss to Tennessee Titans. McNabb was rolling to his right near the Titans sideline when he threw incomplete for Donté Stallworth. The quarterback then fell to the ground along the Titans sideline and immediately grabbed his leg. It appeared as if his knee simply buckled.

Defensive end Kyle Vanden Bosch trailed McNabb on the play and pushed him out of bounds.

He got hurt on a designed roll-out. DEs come free on them and Mcnabb got pushed AFTER he released the ball. He fell down and tore his knee. Hardly the o-lines fault.

Quote:

Injuries have plagued McNabb in the past. He missed the last seven games of the 2005 season with a sports hernia and underwent the first surgery of his life to repair the injury.

O-lines don't cause hernias.

Quote:

In 2002, McNabb suffered a fractured ankle against Arizona on Nov. 17. He played through the injury and completed 80 percent of his passes and threw four touchdown passes. He missed the final six games of the regular season and returned for the playoffs. In his rookie season of 1999, McNabb suffered a knee injury against Dallas on Dec. 12 and missed the following game against New England.

In '02 I don't recall how he injured the ankle. and in 99 they weren't a great team.

So saying thier line caused an injury on a rollout and a sports hernia is laughable. Thanks for being you.

The fans are already thinking that. That's why I said you will be hearing cheering when Frye gets hurt.

I'd certainly hope that's not the case. I like to think Browns fans aren't ignorant and cheering for one of your OWN players to get hurt....well that's as ignorant as it gets.

it'd be like tim couch all over again when he got hurt and the fans cheered. i hope this city is smarter/classier than that

Not that Diam needs help in any way...but you are so FULL OF IT.....Not becuase of what Savage said...but because of your ASSumptions as to WHY he said it....Is Phil giving you this information personally????

#1 Phil will NEVER bad mouth any of his players....EVER.

Secondly if he did bad mouth Frye and we are unable to get a QB in the draft....what does that do to morale on the team????

Your assumption that he KNEW THAT HE NEEDED A LT BEFORE GETTING A "FRANCHISE QB"(your very own words) is completely off base...because if Russell and Thomas were both available....Thomas would have been waiting on that boat for a few picks further for his phone call. I mean we were in discussion with the raiders for the top pick for that very purpose. It is widely known and has been reported that Russell was on the top of our draft board....The Raiders wanted him more than we did so they asked a kings ransom for him...and we hung up the phone....

I thought I was wrong once....but I was mistaken...

Now that's entertainment.

To paraphrase, Phil Savage said "We needed a Joe Thomas type player to protect the blindside BEFORE we got our QB." End of story son.

I am not your son, boy....

And you have a hard time reading....JaMarcus Russell has been reported as being on top of our board. Savage himself said he was on top in the post draft press conferences. If JaMarcus and Thomas were both available at #3...JaMarcus Russell would be a Brown and NOT Thomas. Which completely blows your ASSumptions out of the water. We certainly didn't call the Raiders about taking Joe Thomas!!!!!!! The ONLY reason Thomas was picked ahead of Brady was that he was higher on our board than Brady...Not because of the positions they play. Plain and simple.
