An interesting thought on the Trinity. Care to show me where in the greek transcripts of the Bible there is mention of the Holy Trinity? You won't fit it. The concept of the Trinity did not arrive until the Nicene Creed during the first Council of Constantinople. This was one of many events that worked to "normalize" Christianity amongst itself and the pagans at the time. It's why Christians follow the pagan sun god day of rest as Gods day of rest, and how Jesus got his birthday to match that of the sun god of Rome.

The Trinity existed since Jesus was born, possibly before. Man didn't give it a proper name until later.

As Peter himself converted the Pagans, change was needed to bring them into the fold. Jews were circumcised so they demanded the Pagans be circumcised to even be considered for Christianity. This needed to change as the Pagans were all for Christ until they were told about the surgery. Then it was everyone for the exits! The foods the early Christians ate were changed so they could eat and exist in Pagan lands.

Does it matter what we eat?
Does it matter if we have been circumcised?
Does it matter what day we celebrate Jesus birth?

NO! It matters that all men are given a chance to believe and be saved!

So Christians needed to accept pagan dates and customs and label them as Christian holidays and customs in order to get them to join in with the Christian religion?

The cognitive dissonance in this thread is amazing.

Pretty sure this man is an Atheist because I have seen him before attacking Christianity with the same fervor. I have seen him speak on a number of occasions and his style is always the same.

What you are referring to has NOTHING to do with why the Easter Egg, Bunny Rabbit, Yule log, Christmas tree, or even Easter Sun Rise service has been instituted into Christian customs and holidays. Many of the symbols that have been brought into Christianity were long after Jesus and accepted to strengthen the Roman empire. None of it is Biblical.

About the only ritual of that kind that is Biblical is Passover...

Passover, Feast of Unleavened Bread, Feast of Trumpets, Day of Atomement, Feast of Tabernacles, Last Great Day are all "Holy days" of God.

But somehow they've all been ignored or replaced by mans "holidays".

Even the time of year that we use as the birth of Jesus is so far off, nobody could actually even imagine him being born that time of the year.

My point was they started changing things in the beginning, right after Christ rose. Compromise helped expanded Christianity to the Pagans.
