Thanks for sharing...........that is the kind of passion that needs to return to CBS!

Love the sign..................no animals allowed.............only dawgs!

Nice video indeed..............just something about seeing Modell...........up in his little press box or whatever.............they could have left that out!

That bit of video is appreciated!

What a gem! I noticed something though...

There were some plays where I know that some of our past QB's would have taken off running, whereas Kosar just got the ball off at a rapid pace.

Here's one of my favorite Browns videos... It'slike the old feeling is finally coming back to Cleveland. Gives me chills everytime watching this.

I want the Cleveland Browns to be my pallbearers so they can let me down for the last time.

if you search "cleveland browns" and then sort by date, it's the first video that shows up...

Thanks for posting that - gave me chills remembering the good days. I made my wife watch it - it was one of those "These are the REAL Browns" moments for her. (she's only been a browns fan for the last 10 years - because of me).

Having not experienced this first hand I must say it looks positively amazing, the energy of the crowd and the team is awesome.

Very good video, my favorite part was in the middle of "oh fortune"? where they sung Webster slaughter, webster slaughter.

I just hope that someday we get back to that kind of atmosphere because we surely are in need of it.

Thanks for posting this man.

And after watching that second video about the history I almost cried,ll, its really quite touching though.

So funny you mentioned this. I just bought a authentic Matthews jersey on ebay for 60 bucks the other day and in the guys decription he said " I have no idea who this guy is". I used by it now and then told him. I now have 2 authentic Clay jerseys now. Anyone interested? LOL

That was awesome! I'm glad that I have a tape of the whole game somewhere. Now that we actually have hope of a 8-8 season and will be very competitive this year. I can watch things like this and get my hopes up again.

Cleveland Rocks! Go Browns!

That was sweet. I must say though it is missing the hit on Don Bebe (sp?). That was an amazing play, glad Don ended up okay because I for sure thought he was going to be paralyzed.

Here's what I wonder...

How come none of our receivers got as open as Slaughter did?

Bernie didn't exactly have all day to throw on those bombs, hell, he had less time than #9 did on most of them, the pocket was collapsing. I could have just pictured #9 running backward into a sack in that situation.

I love that video! My daughter just did the cutest thing. I am over here watching it and have the sound up. She ran over and seriously, right when it showed the new Browns back she went "Ohh daddy, Browns, thats beautiful" This video makes me shiver and get a lil emotional inside. That was so damn cute! She will be as rabid as me someday soon! I can't wait to take her to a game with me

The simple answer is, Bernie knew his physical limitations better than anyone AND Bernie knew his receivers and what they would do AND Bernie could read a defense in nothing flat, thereby knowing who should be open and where, and he launched his passes quick and early.

That stuff gives me chills. The current Browns team needs to watch this stuff.

I could have done w/o the Modell shots. (Art, why did you do it? It didn't have to be this way.)

Oh man, I have good memories of that game. I was living in Georgia at the time. I was 14 years old. My dad, a friend of the family who was also a Browns fan, and myself were watching the game. During that last minute drive for the Bills, we were standing up about a foot from the TV. We had a big screen TV at the time (about 50 inches) so we looked like nutcases. My mom walks in right when Clay intercepts the pass, and we started dancing like idiots.

Man, what a great game. Of course, the following week ruined it. But that moment in time, I will always cherish.

I know your just kidding, but for those....

Only one of the greatest LB to ever strap on the Orange helement, Maybe not HOF material as per stats standards, but as for a LB, Player Person, he is what ever GM goes looking for in the Draft, hard nosed, 110% every play, 110% every Sunday, never looked for limelight, just took pride in what he and his team did. Never blamed others just strapped it on every Sunday for 17 years and played solid LB.

I remember being outside the gates as a youngester and seeing Clay get out of that old pick-up of his, my uncle stopped and said, there's a man who doesnt do it for the money, there is a man who does it for the love of the game....

give me a team of Clays Matthews everyday......everyday.......

not with the browns, too much history, too much culture

i found it funny the other day, i was listening to streaming radio of sports talk in cleveland, and the host wanted to talk about the cavs and indians, but all the callers wanted to talk about was the browns

a basketball team inching closer to a championship, and a baseball team that just keeps winning games, and people want to talk about a team that went 4-12 last year, you have to love clevelanders, we are football
