I have a question, with this new rule what happens if a team lines up to kick the extra point but the snap is mishandled or is a bad snap can the team still try for two points or is the play considered over? Before you could always go for two if anything happened but now with option being either the 2yd line for 2pts or the 15yd line for 1pt is that still allowable?

Just watch, Cleveland will probably the first team that happens to. It will be the last play of the game and we will be lining up to kick the XP for the tie but instead the snap will be mishandled and we will some how end up scoring 2 pts and think we will have won the game only to have the refs confer and say it didn't count cause we didn't chose to line up from the 2 to score the 2pt conversion.

It's just not exciting enough, there isn't any drama if a team is down 10 points in the last seconds of play. SO, in the interest of change, in the last 2 minutes of play, a team can go for a 2 point conversion, and if they convert, they can go for another 2 point conversion, and if they convert, they can go for a 3rd 2 point conversion, completing the 12 point play.

Now I know some would say why stop at 3. Well it's generally accepted that a defense must stop a team 3 times to force an offense to punt on 4th down, so that's why. ( That is just to demonstrate how STUPID it is to screw with the rules).

All this real rule change is going to do is ANNOY me, The Fan, the Average Joe trying to watch this game.

It's going to annoy me because on Sunday afternoon, week 3-9 between 1 and 4 pm eastern time, 13 games are going to be going on at the same time.

I can't follow 13 games at once, I need to know, that if I catch a score that scrolls across the bottom line of whatever screen I'm looking at...

I need to know what went on. If it's 21-6, I know who scored how,
If it's 20-17, or 20-14 I know who scored how.

If it's 20 to 14 and the trailing team scores a Td, I know they're going up, not tying the game.

It's going to screw up my fantasy football; "What was the score of that Kansas City vs Oakland game 2 weeks ago, 19-18" " how many fantasy points did that Qb or kicker get,
Now! I have no freaking Idea! It used to be I could figure it out.

The league is probably making this change with the hope that teams will begin attempting 2-point conversions more often, making the game more exciting.

Half the time the XP has been completed before I even realize it.

The ST units run out there almost immediately after the TDs scored.. Line it up, blam..

It's not "boring" it's just part of the game..

This will not make it more "exciting" because the ST units will still be set up and getting ready to kick while the camera is still showing replays and people on the sidelines..

This is pointless..
