Me?

I spent hours contemplating a username that captured the very essence of my being.

A name that expressed my true inner self. My Karma. My Kismet. My Mantra

The hours turned into days, the days into...

Rocky Hill is the name of the town in Connecticut I live in. That way I can find my way home after I post.

Lurker, I'm kinda scared to hear your story.

I moved to Portland, Oregon in June of 2001. I lurked around the old board before that. When I moved 14 years ago I joined. This place has helped me keep a finger on the pulse of the real fan base since leaving. It's a little piece of home I can check in on frequently.

"Ris" is the first three letters of the nickname of one my close college buddies. "Huz" is the last three letters of the nickname of another close college buddy. How or why I thought of this I don't remember. Was just looking for something unique that I would remember I guess.

It use to be Swishalee.

The reason why was because there was this underground rap group in Houston, Tx called Swishahouse. Paul Wall, Chamillionaire, Mike Jone, Michael Watts, DJ Screw. Slim Thug.

They always came up to cleveland and did shows when I was a teenager. My middle name is Lee, so I just did a play off that.

Then it went from Swishalee, to Swisha, to Swish.

In my youth. Now I'm a weekend warrior type that relies more on the mind than the body. Getting older sucks, though I'd do anything to go back to 28. poke I was still lighting them up at 28.

I've always had a love for the Pit Bull breed of dog. I've had three of them in my lifetime. My last one passed away a couple of years ago and I still don't have the heart to get another one.

So the name PitDAWG is really just short for Pit Bull dog.

Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.

It's an old gamertag. I'm not sure why I used it on DTers even though I signed up for this board several years after quitting that game. I guess I'm bad at coming up with new usernames.

Since almost all of the best players in the game I played were from South Korea, there was some very limited knowledge of Korean phrases/ideas, even among those of us who had nothing to do with Korea in nationality or ethnicity.

'hasu' meant something bad, as in 'newb' or particularly unskilled player. Gophers are cute, furry little animals. Why I specifically chose those two things I really have no idea. Using it on this board was probably laziness and lack of creativity more than anything.

I graduated from the University of Toledo. Toledo, and the university, played a huge part in the formation of who I am today.

I'm also an optimist.

So, there's my username.

When I first joined the old board I had been waiting for the Browns to win a Championship for almost 40 years. Now it is closing in on 50 years.

Also, they had told me that 40FREAKINGYEARSWAITINGFORSOMETHINGGOODTOHAPPEN was too long.

Because I'll never root for another team

"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."

My name is Ted, and you may refer to me as Mr. or Sir, you are free to choose.
I hadn't even thought of where that came from until sometime after I signed in on the 'official' board, but I had a paint customer back when I first started painting, and they would refer to me as Mr. Ted to their boys whenever I came over to paint.

OldColdDawg

OLD because:
I'm not young,
I have an old soul,
I'm naturally a little grumpy and
I'm set in my ways.

COLD because:
I freeze at December Browns games,
I call it the way I see it without sugar coating,
I'm naturally a little grumpy and
I'm set in my ways.

DAWG because:
Well I'm a Dawg...

I also don't care to be called OCD because I'm not OCD but never thought about that before selecting the username... lol

First name Erik, last name InHell.

But seriously, when I picked the name I lived right between baltiwhore, DC, and piggsburg. I was in the TV market for all 3 of those teams. I went through 3 years of hell without our team, living in an area that showed the games I really didn't want to see.

My favorite show growing up was That 70's Show (I'm only 26).

Thus, Mr. Kelso.

He was my favorite character.

It's amazing how many of us just based it off our geography.

I was at Centerville during the one before the last Browns' Official Board (?) and haven't changed it through the forums.

I played an early AOL game and one of the main NPC's was named gage. I liked the character enough to use it for my online handle and it stuck... going on 20 years now I think.

When I registered, I noticed many people using their hometown/state with "dawg" added. I did the same. Gotta rep the 419. (am I getting hip?)

Most of the people who have been on here at last 5 years know I used to be called Lebron James. It actually goes back to another board I was on where I had my name changed to Lebron James because I was the lone Cleveland regular there.

I still have to sign in as Lebron James though.

Afte Lebron left for Miami I think it was a group decision to change the name here to something else. I came up with this name because I thought it was hilarious. I think if the Cavs are able to somehow pull of winning the championship that I should get it changed to World Champion.

I was around for it. As I recall, the thread was hilarious, with all sorts of good, funny suggestion.

I think the Sperg name came up, and you added the "for the" part.

However it was devised, I've always thought it was one of the more clever usernames on the board.

Another personal fave of mine: "10YrOvernightSuccess." Instant classic.
