I agree with you about Pettine. I believe he is showing the qualities I like in a HC. It's early on in his HC career and I hope he continues to develop and grow. I think after his third season as our HC would be a time to reflect and see how he's progressing. I'm trying to stay as neutral as possible, but I agree Pettine is looking promising. I'll plead the fifth do to the fact I get a little positive. I think Pettine succeeds if Haslam is willing to stay patient. I think the same with Farmer. I see faults in Farmer, but when have we seen a perfect GM? jury is out whether Farmer is worthy seeing how his first round picks this year measure up. Farmer did ok last year. His only drawback was his first round, which are still in limbo.

As I said about Shumur not long after he was hired he is not a head coach. The best compliment I ever heard about him from a former player of his was he is a good teacher. Nobody would say he would be a good head coach, or even that he was a good coach. When your fishing for compliments from guys who actually played for him and this is the best you can come up with you know the guy is doomed to fail from the word go.
I AM ALWAYS RIGHT... except when I am wrong.
