No,,, NO NO, YOU don't have to GIVE him anything. You need to teach him, prepare him and coach him up. The rest he has to earn.

It's like the old saying, you can lead a horse to water, but you can't make him drink.

Well, same things hold true with a player. Any player.. Coach him up all you can, but in the end, he's gotta do his job.

I hope he can do it. It would be a super addition to this offense. And yeah, if he's here and can contribute, toss Bowe out and insert Gordon.

So when is he coming back? Does he have to get his crap together and apply for reinstatement? I guess my question is, what are the odds he's ready to go for camp next year?

Damanshot - you speak of him as it were his first infraction and it's his rookie year. Facts are facts, he's had issues in each of his three seasons, most of which have led to suspensions and etc. Three seasons, each with mistakes he should have/could have learned from... this dude has been lead to water and has been given that chance to drink it - but the freaking idiot just can't get right.

Priorities aren't the game of football, his teammates or helping this city get what we effin deserve, a championship.

I think you have to prepare as if he's not coming back (which is what most people have been saying for 2 years), I certainly would not let the "possibility" of his return keep me from drafting a big body WR next year.. at the same time, if/when he's reinstated, I think you have to bring him back in and let him compete for a spot.

Is not here right now. Next question.

After 55 years, I'm walking away from this dumpster fire. Good luck to everyone who continues to hang on. You'll need it.

Not entirely certain, but I think he can apply for reinstatement at the start of the next league year...so when the next free agency period opens in March.

The kid is still only 24. He has so much talent it's unreel. He works hard, he likes football (I say likes only because he has loved his booze and drugs ten times more) But all addicts place that above anything else in their life frown Josh really is not a bad kid..... don't laugh he really is not. If you had no clue who he is and you met him on the street you would think he was a polite, caring, young man. Unfortunately he has demons to deal with just like so many other folks in this world.

As long as he's a Brown or until he returns as a Brown, I'm going to root for him to succeed.

I really hope he does keep it clean. The Browns offense would obviously be that more exciting! If there were any incentive for him to take it more seriously, it would be the potential money he can make.

Johnny Manziel to Josh Gordon deep threat. Plus Benji for deep threat.

the other thing people seem to overlook is how good he was in space, after contact and RAC, how many times did we see him just destroy people after catching a simple 6 yard slant. We don't have anyone that can do that now.

it just sucks cause i defended the guy hard, and yet every time he manages to disappoint.

As a stoner.....man if you gave me millions of dollars to play football, i'd toss my green down the toilet so fast...or sell it...i dunno, anyway i'd stop smoking all together.

i really hope he gets it together and can be a dominant force like he was in 2013 for us. but i can't defend him anymore right now.

No he won't - guaranteed.
Simply put - his next strike isn't a suspension, it's expulsion.

So, there's nothing for us to lose, everything for him to lose. If that won't scare a kid straight, nothing will.... and he wouldn't be working his tail off to be in shape like this if something hadn't finally gotten through to him.

Guaranteed? Expulsion? Never heard that.

Regardless he showed how he rewarded the team when he returned last year. Zero TD's and he looked horrible then was suspended again. That's all I needed to see. I'd rather get something for him in trade before he screws the pooch (The Brown's) again.

Bowe had high expectations for himself as well, tellling reporters in July that he was there replace the suspended Josh Gordon, calling Gordon "the touchdown man," and adding, "I'm here to fill his shoes. It's my job to do that in this offense, and I believe I can do that."

well he sure is "fill his shoes" rofl rofl

What's a Dwayne Bowe? Urban myth in Cleveland?

I think you are grossly underestimating "play like a Brown." Bowe thought he could skate through training camp and start because of his paycheck. With other receivers putting in the work and doing well, Bowe must prove he is better to earn the right to take the field. This, in my opinion, is money well spent. Note similar doings with Pryor. Interesting how Bowe prepares next training camp if he still on the team. He must compete against Gordon. Provided Gordon comes off suspension.

well, being that he can't get on the field at all so far, he seems to be doing a VERY GOOD impression of Josh Gordon.

He had a great game against the Falcons and then it went to crap quickly. Maybe it was because he wasn't in shape and/or he was running very basic routes that every team after the Falcons knew how to stop. He also looked like he gave up too.

I don't want that Josh Gordon back at all.

He had 8 catches for 75 yards the game after that... then the next game was when Hoyer went 13 for 30 and got pulled for Manziel...

It's hard to figure out where the blame lies in all of that.

Thank you, I'll be here all week.
