You said the same thing before Obama was elected, before Obama was elected a 2nd time, before SCOTUS ruled in favor of "Obamacare", before ruled in favor of "Obamacare" a 2nd time, before gay marriage was made legal, etc.

At some point you're just laughing at yourself.

Sounds to me like he's just reaching across the aisle trying to pull some of the liberal vote... they have no care or respect for the military either.

If he DOES attack babies next, I'll be convinced that he is trying to attract liberals.. they love abortion and all...

For a child of a US citizen, it does not matter where on earth they are born, as long as one of their parents is a US citizen.

Obama was eligible for the office he holds, because his mother was a citizen of the US at the time of his birth, and Cruz is eligible because his mother was a US citizens at the time of his birth. The only way either of these men could have been disqualified is if their parents had, and gave up US citizenship prior to their births. (assuming both parents were US citizens, which I do not know in Cruz's case)

I understand everything you just said. and it makes perfect sense to me and is exactly as I thought it has always been.

rofl Yeah right!

Ummmm Here's a little hint for a successful GOP presidential campaign..get GOP support. Everyone across the aisle is laughing at the GOP, rightfully so, and well deserved. You good ole boys down south better get behind a sane and viable candidate or you'll be looking from the outside in, once again.

Since you're side stepping and throwing out insults to posters here while supporting D Trump's routinely idiotic comments about war hero's and such, you may also be so proud to hear Trump dodged Vietnam and the draft with a medical deferment. LOL a bone spur. He'll be dodging the media on that question now.

You might want to get your facts straight. The SCOTUS already has a majority of justices appointed by the GOP. How's that working for ya?

Once you don't have to be elected, your decisions or views tend to shift out of a slotted paradigm. We've seen that often in the history of SCOTUS. I am intrigued to see what some of the older justices do. The forecast calls for a Clinton victory at the moment, but that could change.

Why do I have to get behind anybody at this juncture? Why does anybody have to? We still have 16 months until the election. On top of that, while the GOP is approaching 20 odd candidates, THAT is what a Presidential election SHOULD look like. Obama won the Presidency twice because significant numbers of people who would have voted Republican didn't like the candidates they were given in McCain and Romney, and given is the operative word.

The GOP has been criticized for not being more inclusive, yet when they have all these candidates, they are criticized for not being monolithic? notallthere

Until the Primaries whittle down the field, yeah, you'll get some crackpots (isn't that what makes America great, ANYONE can run for Pres?? nanner ), but they'll be weeded out.

I know 40's political analysis often feels like he's seeing it through the bottom of a .40oz (sorry man!), but he IS right that Trump is getting people fired up. He may ultimately be an Establishment Guy, but right now his methods aren't. And the rest of the field is largely quiet about him for a couple reasons: 1) they don't want to further legitimize him by acknowledging him, and 2)its smart politics to sit back and watch. Trump is hitting so many different topics, they can sit back and see what issues really resonate, THEN they can stump on those.

If I were the Dem's I wouldn't spend so much time on trying to trick people in to believing they are so smart. I don't know how any self respecting Dem voter would be happy with Clinton or Sanders. Sanders at least seems more credible as a human being, but I'm not sure he'll pull the 'independent' vote.

But it's a matter of who he is firing up, and that's been a real problem for the GOP in the last few presidential elections. It may seem harmless or even beneficial, but there's not much political capital in firing up or legitimizing the "Mexicans are rapists and murders, some, I assume are good people" crowd. A) You've already got their vote, and B) you run the risk of legitimizing them, which leads to scenarios where primary debate moderators say things like "Raise your hand if you believe in evolution". It plays great with the base, but puts you at a disadvantage come the general. I'd say it will mobilize a Latino vote against the GOP, which will far outweigh any benefit of attention Trump brings in. Though I agree at the moment that other primary contenders have to love sitting back and watching Trump go. It leaves them open to present themselves as moderates, which is a key for any general election candidate.

I do know one thing, his comment about McCain fired up a base. A base who loves the military. That comment about McCain was simply unforgivable.

You make great points, but never underestimate the fact that as a Country we have the attention spans of a gnat. I think the smart play is they'll let him run off at the mouth until the debates, at which point they'll start honing on the issues they should, and they'll be able to minimize Trump by essentially throwing him under the bus and presenting themselves as more moderate. I don't think the Latino vote is all that far out of their grasp, after all I think GW Bush captured something like 40%??

They say Latinos culturally tend to be more conservative. I think a GOP candidate if they use the right tone, can successfully pitch a fence/wall so long as they can also present a detailed 'path to citizenship' that doesn't have to be amnesty. I have a hard time believing that Latinos in the country today would actually support a guy like the one who killed that woman in San Fran coming and going freely.

the GOP isn't anti-minority as a party. Their lack of minority support stems mostly from their lack of effort to engage those groups and present their principals in a manner that is relevant and in a manner posed as a solution. I don't think they have to cave as much as Dems would have us believe.

You're right, it is. But let's be real here, its not going to have all that big an impact on the GOP as a whole. Trump will be the only one to suffer for it.

Republicans have a near lock on the military vote like the Dems on the black vote. Between how poorly they've been treated under Obama, Democrat attempts to suppress the military vote, and there are enough people who remember how much disrespect and loathing the Clintons showed them.. add in Benghazi... the Dems would be stupid to try to 'blame Bush' with anything military because the majority of people who served under him still love him.

The only thing that will hurt the GOP w/ the military is if they put up a weak leader.

The way you post makes you seem like a petulant little child when you resort to name calling. It really dilutes your message. Libthingys and Demoncrats? Oh, good one rolleyes You really got'em with that one! For someone that is supposedly a Christian, you surely have a difficult time following the golden rule.

You've been spouting the same rhetoric over and over again but you keep getting left behind. It's no wonder though because you keep taking only one step forward and two steps back.

They say that because the majority of Latin@s are Roman Catholic, but the new Pope is equating austerity with colonial genocide, thinks gay people will go to heaven and believes we need to quickly work on solutions to global warming.

They're moving to the left and quickly as well without the help of a major Republican candidate calling all of them (I assume Trump doesn't know the difference between the categories and just labels all latin@s as 'mexicans'. This is also how latin@s are perceiving his message) 'murderers', 'rapists', and assumes that a minority of us are just OK.

Pretty sure with the report they put out it will cost just 30 cents more. But it's probably more like 0 dollars as studies have shown an increase in minimum wage does not have a direct correlation between inflation.

i still don't understand why we're the only country that has this kind of circus in our politics.

England has a whopping 6 weeks for candidates to state their views, debate, and get elected.

we got freaking 2+ years. this is stupid.

I don't really see the point. I'd rather have an arbitrarily long vetting process than an arbitrarily short one.
