I got it.

Honestly though it needs to pass. We can talk big.... Weed? But in the end the prices will drop because people will still buy off the streets if they try to charge outlandish prices. I know some stores in Colorado ended up dropping some prices.

For example. I can get a quarter ounce for about 80-100 depending on the strain here in Ohio. If the market opens at 120-140, sure, people are gonna be lined up simply because it's legal, but they won't make nearly as much if hey start that high.

So if they open the market at say.... 90-110, then there's no point of me waiting for my slow ass weed man to come through.

I'd love to avoid this:

"Yo, I got 100 sup?"
"White widow or WiFi?"
"White"
"Aight meet at the spot"

*20 minutes later*

"Yo where you at?"
"I'll be there in 5"

10 minutes later
"Yo"
"I'm pulling up now"

15 minutes later

"Yo where you at? I'm here"
"Bruh you took too long I went to McDonald's"

10 minutes later
"Finally. Thanks"
"Yo I got these shrooms. "
"I'm good. Peace".

I hope they make legalization happen.

I'm all for legalization, but I agree 100%. It's a load of crap that 10 large corporations will be the only entities permitted to grow in Ohio. Of course, they'll pay the large licensing fees (which no individual farmer would be able to afford) that will probably go straight to campaign coffers. Screw that.

You're 100% correct Clem. I no longer reside in Ohio so I don't have a horse in this race. However, this is a terrible deal.

I'd be really surprised if we don't get rid of the monopoly clause within 3 years of it passing. It's certainly worth voting "No" for though.

Nothing makes me sadder than a society with a choice choosing to destroy their bodies just because they can. Smoke of any kind is deadly and harmful to your lungs. Period. Unless you're already dying there is no reason a sane or intelligent person should ingest harmful materials on purpose into their body.

That's ok corporate america thanks the heavens they can dupe all the idiots out there to self-destruct so they can build up a growing case of why democracy doesn't work when you let people who are high making the votes because they never vote whats good for the people. They just vote to get whatever new sick thing they want to do so they can self destruct even faster.

Democracy without high moral standards and a strong education never works and that is where we are headed. So when the people are stoned and live a life that shows they are not capable of making a decision what comes next? The purge of them by the ones who don't want to deal with taking care of them anymore. When welfare ends I wonder how many millions of Americans will die and not even care because they were too stoned to know what was coming.

Whatever, just keep listening to that pot telling you to mellow out and that it doesn't matter. It's ok, just chill out and stop being so serious... The biggest trap about pot is the way it makes you not care anymore.

You can't fix stupid but you can destroy ignorance. When you destroy ignorance you remove the justifications for evil. If you want to destroy evil then educate our people. Hate is a tool of the stupid to deal with what they can't understand.

Razor, I imagine donuts are absolutely unhealthy. I'd think a single donut is worse for you than a single cigarette.

My arguement? Many people smoked/smoke a pack of cigarettes a day. Imagine eating 20 donuts a day.

I suppose you don't eat donuts. How about cake? Do you use Ranch salad dressing? We could go on and on.

Did I mention salt? And yes, thanks CHS, and oxygen too.

So I guess you Conservatives did not comprehend my example of why Business and Industry has a problem with Legalized Weed.
When the guy who was smoking up all weekend and still has a high level in his blood system hurts someone at work, the business gets sued to the bone. They can't allow anything but a zero level of drugs in an employees system or they lose.

Doesn't matter, he had Weed in his system while driving. Not only does he get fired but he is arrested for driving under the
influence. Yes, arrested.

What was the first thing reported by the press after Tony Stewart killed Kevin Ward on the race track?

I'm pretty sure the first thing reported after that night was, "Tony Stewart, dickhead, decides to drive in the Sprint Cup race in 3 days."

But, that was all Kevin Ward's fault and it wasn't because of the marijuana.

40 has an excellent point here. Look what happened to Josh Gordon for having trace amounts in is system and then for having a few drinks on a plane. Think of how much worse it would be if a surgeon did have someone die on their table and they have trace amounts of weed in their system. Whether it was the surgeons fault or not some dead persons relative could be owning a wing of a hospital.

I think this will just change as well. It lasts a lot longer, but it's not like it's effecting you any longer.

I'm voting for legalization for my autistic son with psychotic disorder. I've read good things about what cannabis oil can do for people with mental illness and I want to know what of anything it can do for my boys.

I hear there has been a lot of success with cannabis oil for that and for chemo patients and more.

The point I was trying to make is there are more considerations for legal weed in society than just party time.

I am not for Legalization because that suggests and invitation to use it, its perfectly legal so go ahead.

I am for Decriminalization where the Government butts out of it entirely. No one should be in prison over a naturally growing weed and people are free to do what they want when it comes to medical uses for the product and of course, for party time.

The stuff I've read recently is nothing short of astounding.

Dude's 9-year old son spoke his first words after one or two doses.

One of our best friends has a 15-year old who can only speak fragments of words. Has no psychotic symptoms, but is on half a pharmacy's worth of medications... some of which I assume are anti-psychotics.

If this breakthrough can alleviate some of his spectrum symptoms and allow him to communicate, it would be a gift from God. We both love Mitch so much, we'd do anything for him- and have since the day he was born.

Good luck to you, Ted... I'm hoping for the best for your boy and our dear friend, too.

Here's something for you to read:

hmmmm the stoner would be relaxed and ready to operate. The boozer would be hung over and might have the shakes. I would go with the stoner bro thumbsup

Might just want to think about that some more. Hint (neither)

hmmm Things that can cause altered mental status

Hypoxia maybe smokers should not be allowed to be surgeons.

Low or high blood sugar levels, or diabetic ketoacidosis
maybe those with diabetic problems should not be surgeons.

Dehydration, low or high blood sodium levels
Maybe those who are not hydrated enough should not be surgeons

Thyroid or adrenal gland disease

Sorry thyroid problems get them eliminated as well.

Urinary tract infection or renal failure WHOO better start checking for UTI's to eliminate surgeons.

Drug or alcohol withdrawal there are those shakes I mentioned earlier.

Is your Surgeon on ANY type of perscribed med? Oh crap they better not operate on you either.

Thanks Clem, that was a great read and very encouraging! My son is on a handful of meds also, and sometimes they don't work all that well. Must be nice to be able to grow your own medicine.

I appreciate the well wishes guys. It means a lot.

I'm not that bothered by the monopolization of the legislation (I feel like a rapper), as it also allows up to 4 plants for personal use. Out here in Arizona, marijuana is pretty much "legal" in the sense that anyone with a spare $100 can get a medical card. It makes me wonder how these dispensaries in Arizona would react to legalization efforts similar to Ohio's proposed one here, as it would drastically cut into their profits. I wonder if in a few years we won't see a nation split between states who deem it legal, and those who are "legal". I think that's a fight on the horizon, as far too many places have their own medical monopoly going on.

I look at this thing the same way I looked at the casino bill. When that passed, it may not have been a great deal for the state, but it passed because the people wanted to legalize gambling and the politicians were unwilling to do it. After it passed, they scrambled to fix some of the bad things about the bill.

If this passes, and there's bad stuff in it for the state, I picture the same scramble happening.
