That would be kind of hard considering that Orakpo signed a bigger contract and for more guaranteed money then Bowe did. Also thru 2 games Orakpo has a whopping 5 tackles and 0 sacks.

Actually, I can. It has NOTHING to do with the clown he drafted this year. It's about all the talent he's passed on in the past TWO drafts because he doesn't believe WRs impact the game. HELLO! The NFL is ALL about passing on the offensive side of the ball. He is an incompetent dumbass.

Oh really? Is that so? HMMMM what team in the NFL went to the last two Superbowls? Just some hints for you in case you have not figured it out yet. The team was built on having a strong Defense, a Strong running game, and one that pretty much ignored wide receivers in the draft.

Lets see they drafted Kris Durham in the 4th round in 2011.2012 they didn't draft a single WR. 2013 Chris Harper in round 4. How about 2014. lets see Kevin Norwood 4th round. Well they must have went WR in the 1st round this year then. WOW what dumb ass idiots they waited till the 3rd round and only drafted one WR.

Well then they must be loaded with 1st round picks tearing up the NFL. Hold on let me check and see. Holy &#(%^ only ONE first round pick since 2011 is even on their roster shocked Man O Man that John Schneider what a "incompetent dumbass" "HELLO" Doesn't he know that "The NFL is ALL about passing on the offensive side of the ball. " I think it's about time the fans in Seattle start screaming for his head because "It's about all the talent he's passed on in the past FIVE drafts because he doesn't believe WRs impact the game." I mean what in the hell is wrong with him? Does he think he smarter than everybody else?

Here you go. I hope this takes some of the sting out of your face from that smackdown.

1. I don't need VERS to grade my posts I'm not his student.

2. I had no objections to the rest of your post. There was a section that I did. I copied it and pasted it to be specific what I was posting to. No Harm meant.

3. Hope all read what I stated about Benjamin... wink

Spec:

During the off season Goff was the first guy I watched. He was impressive. Since the speculation about Cook I have watched him as well.

Actually I think they look similar. Both show maturity in the pocket, good accuracy, and they make sound decisions. As the season unfolds I will go much further in analysis.

I am going to keep an open mind and watch how the season plays out. There may be additional guys in this class.

Watching Aaron Rodgers last night it is hard to imagine a quarterback playing at a higher level. He makes the position look simple. That is what happens when skill meets knowledge. He knows the offense GB runs so well he could execute it in his sleep. Along with his knowledge his skill level is unreal.

With Orakpo his biggest concern is injuries (I believe his pecs have torn a couple times) yeah he has yet to provide them with a sack but providing the duration of the season...He will have more pressures and sacks then Mingo/Orchard...I remember him signing but your right I looked it up he got $12.5 mill signing bonus...Bowe got $9 mill...Crabtree got 2 mill...I'd still payout $14.5 mill for Orakpo and Crabtree vs $9 mill for Bowe regardless...And Crabtree just wanted a place where he could be a #1...he would have had no issues being that here lol

I would have liked to have signed Crabtree but Orakpo's injury history scares me, he's only played 1 full season out of the last 3.

Sometimes it's warranted because people do instigate things with Vers. I know people don't like him, but it'd be nice to not have to read about it on half the threads on this site.

'Mike Pettine: We’re not cutting Dwayne Bowe'

http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/201...partner=ya5nbcs

Posted by Josh Alper on September 29, 2015, 7:44 AM EDT

The Browns don’t want to play wide receiver Dwayne Bowe, but that doesn’t mean they don’t want him on their roster.

That was the message from coach Mike Pettine on Monday, a day after the Browns made Bowe a healthy scratch for their loss to the Raiders. Bowe was inactive for the opening game of the season because of a hamstring issue, but was active for Week Two against the Titans.

Bowe only played eight snaps in that game and wasn’t on the injury report at all leading up to Week Three, which suggests that the Browns don’t have much interest in playing someone they gave $9 million in guaranteed money. Pettine said that a need for bodies on defense and special teams led them to pass on Bowe, however, and that the team isn’t thinking about cutting ties with the veteran.

“No. It’s a long season,” Pettine said, via Cleveland.com. “It hasn’t started out the way that we’ve all — including Dwayne — wanted it to but we’re confident that we’ll get him contributing here sooner than later.”

If the team isn’t willing to play Bowe, they’re just wasting a roster spot because they made a bad decision about paying him in the offseason. There’s no upside to letting that bad decision dictate future decisions, especially when the money is gone whether Bowe is in Cleveland or on his couch on Sundays.

At this stage, the Bowe signing is one of biggest topics why I'm starting to slant my eyes at Farmer's decision making. Outside the bad drafting and etc, the Bowe signing is just absurd. Better off having kept Vince Mayle.

It could be that they are waiting until Farmer's return before they cut him. If they are going to admit Bowe didn't work out like they hoped (i.e. admitted it was a mistake) I think it shows less dysfunction if the guy who signed him is the guy who let's him go vs. dumping guys he signed while he is away.

Could be they're doing it just to tick off Bowe, or send a very loud & clear message to him (and his agent).

Maybe he's hoping to get released and still catch on elsewhere so that he can double-dip on paychecks, and we're like "screw you... sit there out of football for a year - at your age"?

Nothing with this team would surprise me any longer, but yeah, this would be the epitome of pathetic.

I'd almost compare this to the andre rison deal, except he actually made it on the field

I can't see the Bears shipping off Alshon...they will pair him with the QB they get in this year's upcoming draft...specially since WR Kevin White is far from a sure thing

Resurrecting this thread as I wanted to point out how WRONG I was, again, in a lil preseason prediction.

I'll just say I thought Taylor Gabriel was literally going to shred it up. Well, wrong.

Who knows how many nicely thrown balls he's dropped this season. Endless injury issues. Cannot seem to separate when it was rumored during camp and etc that Taylor may be the best and most crisp route runner we have.

Curious what others, because I know I wasn't the only one who thought Taylor could break out, feel about Taylor after the season he's had/is having?

This group sucks. What are the Browns looking at in 2016:

Gordon: BIG concern here; hopefully he figured things out
Hartline: Pretty good possession receiver
Benjamin: Good speed, stretch the field, use him in the return game
Gabriel: Done
Bowe: Done
Moore: Tough kid, maybe WR5
Pryor: Done

Size and speed are needed. If you get 2 in the off season, this is a solid group. Moore might be the odd man out unless you just put Benjamin at KR and leave it at that.

he is concentrating too much keeping his feet. he can either catch the ball but fall down or keep his feet and drop the ball....

My favorite war's in this draft are:

Corey Coleman Baylor in the 2nd
Corey Davis WMU in the 3rd
Mitch Matthews BYU in the 4th

I like Corey Davis, too. Is Matthews that huge guy?

Also, if the Browns are still thinking they want to be a running team, they should draft Laquon Treadwell. I don't think I've ever seen a WR better at blocking than Treadwell. He's strong, he anticipates the ballcarrier well, sometimes finds multiple people to block on a single play, and is very effective without committing penalties.

*edit* I am concerned about Treadwell being able to get open in the NFL, but I had the same concerns about Mike Evans and he's still very effective due to his size. I also don't think Treadwell catches enough of the passes he's thrown. More drops than I'm comfortable with.

I'm OK with that if the Browns can get a decent draft pick for him since they still own his rights.

I think Davis is going to be steal for whomever drafts him. I watched the WMU vs MSU game and he was consistently getting open. Of coarse his Qb stinks so he will be under-valued.

I love Corey Coleman. Dude is seriously uncoverable. Sticks out when you watch a Baylor game. Only 5'11 190# but Odell Beckham is only 5'11 198#. Coleman runs a 4'3 and is tough as nails. Love the attitude. We need more players like that.

I like Treadwell. Don't see him going top 5 in the draft and don't see him lasting until round 3. But certainly a consideration if we trade down.

I also thought that Gabriel was going to star this year.

However, he was "entrenched" as the 4th WR, behind Hawkins, Hartline, and Benjamin. Hartline and Hawkinds have both been injured, about the same time Gabriel was. Gabriel missed 4 games with his concussion. (though he missed the Niners game as a healthy scratch, I think that was because of his limited practice time leading up to the game)

He has definitely had issues catching the ball. I wonder, with a young receiver, if it has anything to do with trying to get used to so many different QBs. I have no idea if this is a reasonable thing to take into account or not, but it would seem to me to be.

I like Gabriel, and I hope that he comes on in the last couple of games. He has such great speed and elusiveness that I still think that he can be a high quality player in the NFL. He still has to do it though.

I too thought Gabriel was going to have a great season the way all were raving about him.

And it was everyone...teammates, coaches, local and national news guys. Watch out for that kid Gabriel he is a sleeper.

So far he appears to be a practice player...come game time definitely Not for Prime time!

And sad thing is... Flip has done exactly what I thought Gabriel could be most effective with. Shallow routes, working the flats and especially, ESPECIALLY, WR screens. No production.

I'm curious and hoping someone with the fancy for WRs and etc to tell me how Taylor's release is? My guess is dbs are easily jamming him off the line up to five yards and in doing so is throwing Taylor off an unrecoverable route.

They were right.. He's a sleeper, I never figured out how people thought so high on him.

For a guy 5'8 165 lbs transitioning to the NFL had to be a little tougher... Now that he has missed 4 games due to a concussion and his small size, I feel he may become shell shocked.
