I can't and won't speak for anyone else. You may very well have a point there. I only try to pose my own opinion when posting.
I have made it a point to mention that I don't believe the Mayle situation is a huge issue. It's just another incident that points to a pattern which does not look good. So my point is that it's the cumulative effect of many draft picks that haven't panned out.
People say "Well it isn't about where someone was drafted once they're drafted". Nothing could be further from the truth. What is considered the top talent in every draft is at the top. The highest number of player success rate is at the top of the draft. The highest paid contracts and cap space are credited with the top of the draft. There are reasons for all of those things.
As you saw on another thread, I'm not calling for Farmers job. I do believe Farmer can improve and get better over time. I do however see the lack of dividends of our first rounders, when combined with trading last years third round pick, which we also gave a fourth and sixth rounder to move up for, for a seventh round conditional pick, then cutting Mayle as the bigger picture and something of concern to this point.
I liked this years draft much better than last years draft, but like anything, that remains to be seen. I don't get paid seven figures to be an NFL GM, so as such, that's just my opinion on the draft.
So I'm not trying to embellish a single mistake. I'm showing an unmistakable, concerning pattern. This just happens to be one ingredient in that pattern.
Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.

There were people on here who were very critical of the Mayle pick when it happened. After watching some of his games and reading some discomforting things about his motivation to play football right after the draft, he was in 7th/UDFA territory for me. Farmer picked him in the 4th.
When I can spot stuff like that, is it too much to ask our GM to be up to this? And Mayle was "just" a wasted 4th. Wait for Orchard doing nothing the next two seasons before getting "Veikune"d. He and Mingo couldn't even beat out Solomon? A guy that was waived FIVE times in his career. Orchard either isn't talented enough or he's another "project".
Farmer has absolutely no clue what he's doing, I'm 100% positive of that. The talent evaluation part is already bad enough, but the roster construction is a catastrophe. Coaches said they want to run the ball, so he keeps 2 RBs, one of them barely out of concussion protocol and 7 OL. Then he IR-DfR the 7th CB and claims an injured RB. How braindead is that?
Too many bad moves and decisions. On top of that, he tried to undermine the coaches with the embarrassing text message fiasco. It's beyond me how anyone can still trust someone like this. He's incompetent and unlikeable

At least you just come out and say you want Farmer fired. No ambiguity there.
You'll likely get your wish after this season.
I hope the next guy is good.
LOL - The Rish will be upset with this news as well. KS just doesn't prioritize winning...

It looks like we will have another open spot on our practice squad with Draughn getting called up to the 53. I don't think Lenz is really an option as we already have Jennings. Jaccobi McDaniel and Joe Rankin would make sense.

Browns sign DL Kelcy Quarles to practice squad
Posted 3 hours ago Link He spent most of 2014 with the Colts The Cleveland Browns on Monday signed DL Kelcy Quarles to the practice squad. Quarles is 6-4, 310 and in his second NFL season out of South Carolina. Originally signed by the New York Giants as an undrafted free agent in 2014, Quarles spent 10 weeks on the Indianapolis Colts’ active roster and appeared in two games. He spent the final six weeks of the 2014 season on the Colts’ practice squad and was waived by the Colts on Sept. 5, 2015. A native of Hodges, S.C., he graduated from Greenwood (S.C.) High School and later attended Fork Union (Va.) Military Academy.

Our PS is turning into an elephant's graveyard for the NFL. Pryor, Lenz.

Didn't he practice the entire week before the game? Manziel had taken only "a few snaps" with the scout team during the week. He didn't work at all with the starting offense. http://www.cleveland.com/pluto/index.ssf/2015/09/cleveland_browns_put_johnny_ma.html#incart_riverJMO they rest arm.

Brilliant! Didn't know who was.
But it depends on whether you want to be over or under. Our QBs are like the Doritos commercials: "We'll make more!"
I am counting Pryor as a wild card. I think he worked out for Patriots today, although I am not sure whether it was as QB or not quite a wideout. Treat it as a wild card.

Didn't see this mentioned anywhere. 09/22/2015 Signed LB Cam Johnson to the practice squad. 09/22/2015 Released DL Kelcy Quarles from the practice squad. http://www.clevelandbrowns.com/team/transactions.html

Do you know of those guys? I liked Cam Johnson coming out when we were still in a 4-3... he was drafted by a 3-4 team (the Colts maybe?) and didn't make an impact at all. I think he's bounced around a bit with 3-4 teams now so maybe he's learned something, but really he looked like a 4-3 LE to me. Probably won't make a difference being on the practice squad. *edit* it was the 49ers who drafted him, then he was with the colts a few years.

Thanks a bunch!
Apparently he hasn't played enough in those few years to become ineligible for the practice squad.

I don't think he's a Bowe replacement. Practice squad at best. He played at UCLA and pretty much did nothing.

at the very least I hope he's as good as his father Jerry Rice Jr is no Jerry Rice. He is at least 4 inches shorter than his dad, and ran a 4.68 or some ridiculously slow 40 at his Pro Day. He might be worth a PS look ...... maybe ....... but I have a hard time seeing him making the roster even as our 6th WR.

He's a CFL-type WR most likely
