Honestly, I have no idea how you get some violent intent from what I write, or have written.
Homosexuality sex is wrong, according to the Bible. I believe in the Bible. Thus, I believe that it is wrong.
I do not hate homosexuals. Homosexuals are not evil, at least no more evil than the rest of the people on this planet. We are all sinners.
The Bible tells us to turn from our sins and repent. The dangerous think about the approval of homosexual sex in society is that people think that it is now acceptable before God, when that is not what the Bible says. The Bible says that it is a sin. It says so clearly, and it also says so by exclusion. Jesus told us what is acceptable, and if we are Christians, then that is what we should strive for.
I am not perfect and I have not been perfect as I have made my way through my faith journey. However, I have studied the Bible intently, for myself, and have reached the conclusions I have because of that study. I have gone back and tried to find proper translations for certain words that some want to amend to their own purposes. However, I think that we have to look at the entire Bible, and to get the meanings.
In Acts, Paul and other Disciples told the Gentile believers what they needed to do to be saved. They said to believe in the Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, to follow Him, to abstain from eating meat sacrificed to idols, to refrain from eating blood, and to avoid sexual immorality. What is sexual immorality? Well, we have to go back to the time of the writing. What was immoral sexually at the time? I think that we can agree that homosexuality was considered immoral to the Jewish Disciples in the time of Jesus Christ.
As Christians, we should do our best to turn away from our sins. All of our sins. That means that we don't excuse our sin, but do everything we can to stop committing those sinful acts that offend God. Some will choose not to do this, and I believe that they cannot be saved because of their own love of sin. Sin becomes their God, and God will not forgive those who want to worship sin over Him.
Now this is not to say that we might not slip. Christians are still sinful beings living in a sinful world. We are justified, not perfect. We are made pure in appearance before God by the blood of Jesus Christ. Christians will slip, and make sinful errors, but the key is that Christians accept their sins as sins, as being wrong and offensive before God. We must repent of our sins, turning from them, and lamenting the errors we have made. If we refuse to do so, or say that our sin is just fine, then we are worshiping a God other than the God of the Bible, and we cannot be saved saved by Him if we refuse to turn from what He says is sin.
We can decide whether we want to have the sinful things we may love in this world, or whether we want the perfection and joy in the next. This decision means that we have to give up, and turn away from some things we might even have enjoyed as sinful beings, and ask God's help to turn from our sins, and to be justified with the righteousness of Jesus Christ.
The Bible tells us that once we are saved, we are forever saved, (never to be plucked from His hands) but He also warns us that there are many different types of Faith, and false converts. These people may believe for a short time, or maybe they believe what they want about what God and/or Jesus says. They may say things like "I believe the Bible, except for ....." , or "I'm sure that ....... doesn't apply to me, or my situation." The Bible is clear in many ways, and there are some things that are very hard to understand. I believe that the sexual immorality sections are perfectly clear, especially when one takes the entire Bible into account, as well as the Jewish social norms of the day. (which is the basis on which the Bible is written, so if we understand that base, then we can understand what is built on that base)
However, we all have to make our own decisions as to what we want to believe, I, however, cannot stand by and allow people to take themselves to punishment before God, simply because they believe something that is not true. Once a person knows what the Bible says, then it is their decision to obey, or not. It is their choice to accept Christ as Lord and Savior, or not. In have made my decision, and apparently so have you. I am sorry that you have decided the way you have, because the way I understand the Bible, this means that you will be lost when judgment comes. (if you do not repent and turn from your sin) I hate to think about that, because I truly do care about you.
However, like I said, you have made your decision, and that's your choice. You are firmly bonded to that decision, and have made it clear that is who you believe you are. I cannot change your mind, and I am not trying to.
However, there are others who read this board, and who might be considering a life of sin. Maybe it's not too late for them. Maybe they will not have to hear Jesus say: (Matthew 7:21 – 23)
“Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and in your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?’ Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’"
I can imagine nothing sadder for a person than to hear those words on the day of judgment. I don't want anyone who does not have to do so. However, it is a decision we each make for ourselves.
