This is how cheaply they regard the human lives that are used by those in his circle. We are insects to them. Objects.
Money is the cheapest tool in their kit, and they rarely have to reach for anything else. 500K? Andrew probably never even asked the settlement's amount. The actual number is irrelevant. Insignificant. The problem went away in a way that he never felt on any level, and that's all that mattered. What's on my schedule tomorrow?
The saddest part: they see magistrates, law officers, judges and even Supreme Court Justices as insects, too. Or worse- useful tools.
We provide the background scenery behind which they live their lives.
