But if you already feel the person you have at that position can get the job done than why would you alienate them and try to get someone else?
To me, by trying to get someone else they don't think he can get the job done. I think it is that simple.
Now, one might not agree with the idea that he can't get the job done but I think the FO actions tend to speak for itself.
