I came on to post last night, but it was just too emotional in here and there were too many dumb comments.
Coaching:
--I don't get the hate for Stefanski. He did what he needed to do. We had a two score lead w/less than 2 minutes to go primarily due to the offense. It was Saleh who mismanaged the clock at one point by not calling a TO. In retrospect, I guess he should have ordered Chubb to fall down at the 1 yd. line instead of scoring, but man, that is really reaching. The Camp Cupcake that one or two posters keep bringing up is fiction. We are not losing games because we are out of shape. And teams don't tackle hardly at all in TC anymore. That is league wide.
--Woods is not getting it done. The defense was supposed to carry the team while Watson was out. Hell, they need the O to carry them. There are so many holes in our coverages and we are not setting the edge, especially on runs to the right. We can't fire him now, though. That would be dumb. But, he might be in trouble at the end of the year if the D doesn't get things going.
Stop making excuses!
Stefanski has the final say in everything at the sideline. Offense, defense and the special team. It's his responsibility to make everything work. If Woods can't handle the pressure it's Stefanski's job to take a step forward and make the play calls. If the players underperform it's Stefanski who has the power to change the line up. If Stefanski can't get it done on match days it's Berry's job to make changes and if that doesn't work it's up to the owners to act. As it shoukld be.
Yesterday's loss wasn't an isolated incident in Stefanski's career as a HC for the Browns. It's become a pattern to see him get mentally crippled, to see him standing like a sfinx when the team need him the most. Almost none positive energy. Total lack of engagement and handling power. Thats not a good sign.
Time to accept. What we see is what we get.
