I've stood in our stadium and watched, while other Browns fans booed Our Team.
I've never added my voice to that chorus.

I've walked out of FirstEnergy Stadium in silence, in victory, and in defeat.
But I've never booed My Team, even when they've played like a pile of Dawg crap.

Never.

I just can't do such a thing.
I'm not hard-wired to do such a thing.

I'm also not one to dictate to others how they should express their support for My team, but I'll say this:
After 50+ years of fandom, I still want to see CLE represent the same way they did when I was a kid- when Frank Ryan, Gary Collins, and Jim Brown gave us the memories that we all share.

I didn't boo them when I was a kid.... and I won't boo those Browns who play for us now.
Others may follow a different path. I won't dog them for the way they express themselves. Each unto his own.

But speaking for myself- I just can't do it.
It's not in my 'Elf DNA.'

This year's team is still finding itself. Part of its identity is being written. Another part of its story is yet to be written.

5 games in is not enough for me to become a member of the "Boo-bird Chorus."
