There were several, and I do mean several guitar players who were MUCH better than Eddie in his prime. And I know the excuse given as to why people thought he was so great... "He influenced many of today's guitarists!" That's because they kept playing Van Halen songs until it made people's ears bleed so they were exposed to so much of his music.
I’d like to know who those “several” guitarists are. Seriously would love to hear them, because they must be phenomenal. Only ones who came close were Hendrix and Rik Emmett. Maybe Jeff Beck. Not Page or Clapton.
