Except, I'm not saying it wasn't racism. I'm saying that I don't know what it was. Whatever it was wasn't good, but I don't have enough information to know the motivation.

Why is it so hard for some people to admit ignorance? Nobody knows everything, and most people know a lot less than they seem to think they do. Assumptions are all too frequently treated as knowledge.

It appears racist, and the media appears to have tried to portray it that way, but the information in the initially quoted article doesn't do a whole lot to support that. To me, it looks like assumptions were made. They may be accurate. They might not.
