--Winning this game was going to be tough no matter what. So, I think playing Mitchell in a winnable game [Suns] in which Garland was out made sense since Garland would be back makes sense. You certainly don't want to go 0 and 2 in those games.
In addition, JB doesn't want to stick it to the Cavs fans that paid $200-$500/ticket to come and see Mitchell play for maybe their first time only to have him sitting due to rest and no Garland.
