Agreed- but with one caveat: he actually was poor- and got his education through AA.
In this regard, I find his behavior about as hypocritical as can be. Essentially, he found a way to climb the ladder, and now at the top, is attempting to pull the ladder up after himself.
In my old neighborhood, we had a saying: "not all skin is kin." He's a prime example of what we meant.
