This raises the question, are these moves being made to create cap relief for the upcoming years (most likely) or could we have a big signing/trade planned?
I'm OK with it, either way.
Berry has managed to do what other competent GM's have been doing all this time: addressing needs, drafting players who make sense, taking calculated chances on lower-round draft picks (DT-R). IMHO, CLE is done making moves this year. I pretty much expect Berry to bank future equity over making a late pre-season splash. It hasn't been his MO to date; I don't expect him to break character now.
