I think it was already fairly certain that Hamas was using the population as human shields, which is among the most despicable things one can do. Surely some among the population are also aiding and abetting this construct. But it also remains true that there are innocents involved as well. It is not entirely a population of terrorists. The two dynamics just mentioned are not mutually exclusive.
When it comes to the situation itself, does Hamas use the civilian population as a human shield? Yes. Does this create a very difficult situation for Israel? Yes, of course. Has Israel still been reckless at times, sometimes grossly reckless, in its tactics anyhow? Also yes. I don't think his assertions really do anything to change that level of consistency we've had in the aftermath of October 7th.
