This game exposed the real problem at the core of our struggles and it's pretty much inarguable at this point.
I'm going to try to get around to rewatching both this game and the previous one. As I've said before, I am so very intrigued by this little experiment we've unintentionally run here.
The rhythm was just so different. The cadence. Everything was just so much better.
There's a tweet that I'll have to go find, but Gregg Williams mentioned how Winston consistently hit his plant foot. It made it easier on the linemen, and the cadence synced up with the route progressions, too. I'm no football expert, but it's something you do notice when you rewatch the game. Watson really struggled with it.
He also got rid of the ball on time. Another issue Watson had. Now, sometimes Jameis got rid of the ball after misreading the coverage, but luckily he escaped without a pick. You could say the same for Jackson though, too.
