I hope he’s all that. I don’t know, he looks like an instinctual football player but average speed and small to my eyes. He doesn’t pop off the tape the way he does for others. I’m not an expert and I like the idea of being wrong. He was the biggest surprise of the draft for me in a draft full of surprises. I expected unexpected qb & rb selections. I thought we’d take a db as we always seem to and continue to ignore lb but here we are. If he turns into half the player he’s billed to be it’ll be a win.
He is actually our biggest LB that will make the roster at 6'2 242 at the combine and 238 at his pro day. He didn't run a 40 but had a 3 cone of 7.05 and a 20 yard shuttle of 4.25. Both seem to every good times. I understand that just because he has shown good athleticism doesn't mean that he plays that way.
