Damn, he was only 64. I always liked him even though some Browns fans gave him grief.

I was 13 when we drafted him. I found out when a friend called the house...

"The Browns got Charles White, the Browns freaking drafted Charles White!!!"

Tough career here in Cleveland but had a dream season in 1987 with the Rams - 1347 yds and 11 TD

I also remember him competing in American Gladiators and winning two years in a row.


Sadly, he's had health problems for a while. Dementia, most definitely caused by football, had been beating him up before cancer.
