The season has ended and the Chiefs are the Champs.

The Super Bowl ended with the two best teams playing each other. That does not always happen.

Here are the 2022 KC stats

https://www.pro-football-reference.com/teams/kan/2022.htm

Number one offense. 16th ranked defense. The offense was Mahomes and the rest.

What do we have to do in order to be as good as the Chiefs? I know there will all kinds cutting gallows remarks. But really the Browns have made moves to attempt to win it all.

Clearly, it takes great quarterback play. Sure Trent Dilfer, Flacco, and other not so great quarterbacks have won. But for the most part; bad quarterback play no can do.

We have the rushing attack. The Chiefs won without a great receiving unit. Check the receivers and what they did. Not the Bengals.

Chiefs defense ranked 16th. They gave up 35 in the SB. They didn't win with a great defense and the Eagles lost with a great defense.

The Browns can no doubt improve their defense under Schwartz.

We will need DW and the offense to rise up into a top five offense.

We should have the OL. We have the runningbacks. We are not all that far away with receivers. We need more but it is doable to get there.

You need some luck. No team can lose many key players.

But when you really look how the Chiefs did it. It was Patrick Mahomes, good coaching and a team that believes they are better.

It is not an impossible task.

Watson has to be elite. Everything starts and stops with Watson being elite. Anything short of that and the Browns are an also-ran.

Side note, I do believe this is Chubb's last year as a Brown. The FO will want to reallocate that money to the WR position. Especially, considering Cooper will be turning 30 heading into the 2024 season.
