I was just watching a few YouTube vids that discussed what players eat during halftime and post game in the modern era. Obviously, teams now ensure that player nutrition is in the team’s hands. Supplying nutrition at every turn.
My question… Back in the 80s and 90s, did teams supply half time snacks and postgame meals to players like they do now? If so, were there any differences?
Halftime snacks now give the players the option to eat pickles, peanut butter and jelly, fruit, sports bars, sports gels. - I can see the rationale.
Postgame meals now are packed with protein and carbs. Chicken, veggies, fruits, rice.
Does anyone know what the players back in the 80’s and 90’s ate at halftime and postgame? Did the teams supply food for players at halftime and postgame?
