USA Today- "A New York judge upheld the felony conviction of President-elect Donald Trump on Friday and set sentencing for Jan. 10, but said Trump would receive no prison or probation.

Judge Juan Merchan had agreed to Trump's earlier request to postpone sentencing until after the election, but he said there is no legal reason to stop it from happening before Trump takes office again on Jan. 20.

"It is incumbent upon this Court to set this matter down for the imposition of sentence prior to Jan. 20, 2025," Merchan wrote. Merchan added that his goal is "bringing finality" to the case."

Ok- we all KNOW the truth in this case---despite the constant spin. TRUTH- Donald Trump had his lawyer- Cohen- make payments to porn "star" Stormy Davis to keep her silent before his first election- done.....but, he wanted them hidden as BUSINESS EXPENSES. Trump had his lawyer do his job, but it was against the law- Donald Trump had a fair trial in NY and was convicted. YEARS Later- the judge wants to finish the trial....So, Donald Trump can start his appeals.

Donald Trump is still fighting to even stop the sentencing.....wants to get it BEYOND his swearing in as President AGAIN.

Ain't it great- America spoke....AND....paying a porn star, calling it business expense, and being a convicted felon doesn't matter if you tell the public what it wants to hear......CHARACTER mean NOTHING.....time will tell if we chose well. Pray for all Presidents- they have an impossible job.

I, personally, love this state judge- he wants the opportunity to tell Trump why he didn't throw out his conviction----just before becoming President--- dang, it should be quite a statement.....and VERY news worthy. I know the "FAKE NEWS" folks will be all over it. Peace. Pray for Biden and Trump.

gotta love the conservatives who say "no one is above the law" electing a guy to ensure he is absolutely above the law. This country not only condoned, but encouraged his actions. I thought that type of blind loyalty existed in dictatorships and monarchies.

For all the accusations and rhetoric surrounding Obama acting like a king, I have to wonder if conservatives are happy that their actions led to them anointing Trump that exact title: King.

They gave this man everything. no legal fines are coming out of his pockets, he has full immunity thanks to the Supreme Court, and he never has to worry about jail time or a criminal record affecting his lifestyle. Most of his assets will remain in his name during the presidency, AGAIN like his first term. he will double dip on taxpayers funding his lifestyle by leaders around the world going to Mara Lago at times instead of the White House, which forces the secret service to spend more tax payer money protecting a private business/mansion. And since this is his 2nd term, he isn't concerned with accountability with his base because the very based enabled all of this to begin with.

and the wealthy are still gonna replace Americans with immigrants. Because Trump also replaced Americans with immigrants at his mansion, and conservative Americans rewarded him for that. He lied straight to their faces about the 2020 election, and they rewarded him for that.

I guess it shows how warped the Democrats have become to lose to a convicted felon Nazi. You have to have a pretty bad message to lose to that.

LOL

I can see myself staring out the window, waiting on the Amazon truck, so I can get on DT and yell at Pit.

It doesnt matter.

Like the Republican supporting Robert Mueller before him, Jack Smith will be vilified as a Trump and USA hating politically motivated individual. Much easier to do that and dismiss him and the report than accept certain facts.

End of the day they won't ever care.

I see subtlety is not everyone's strength.

The election is over... there's as much a campaign for this as I am a liberal.

I just find it humorous how the party of law and order wants to gloss over Jan6. Nothing to see here people! It's all good. Erecting a gallows on the steps of the Capitol while chanting to hang the VP because he wouldn't follow through with his constitutional duty is totally normal and not worth further discussion (especially when that discussion involves evidence of involvement from our parties lord and savior DJT).
