Agree... limited at practice this week with a rib injury... I wouldn't mess with that... I'd shut him down for the year.

The sadness of realizing we’re playing insignificant games to end the year sucks again

Yeah... but still a chance to beat a division rival... win 8 games which is pretty decent when you look at our record over the last 10 years... I wish we were getting ready for a playoff push... but it is what it is... Also, I am happy we were technically in the playoff hunt until the second to last week of the season...

hopefully we can win today and go into the off season with something positive...

I took Case Keenum in a daily contest today just to have some rooting interest in this game. Otherwise don't really care what happens.

Not saying it was you but a lot of people wanted to play Chubb a ton last week in an equally meaningless game.
Posted By: northlima dawg Re: Gameday vs Cincinnati - 01/09/22 06:12 PM
I told my son before the raiders game-if we win one of the next two we have a shot to play cincy for a shot to get in-and we are going to be there if we have a chance for a play in game.
He asked me last night if I still felt like going to day-I told him I had no desire to go today-he was bummed-he still wanted to go

3 games ago, we were 7-6 and Cincy was 7-6; they won 3 in a row and we lost 3 in a row

Technically we still had a shot at the playoffs and were under the assumption that he was healthy... now that we know we are out and know he has a rib injury, I don't see any reason to play him.

We were eliminated before that game started.

But out of frustration watching that game and after a few drinks I'm not gonna doubt that I asked why Chubb wasn't on the field.

Point still stands. Keenum has had success as a starter, we pay him 10mil a year specifically because of that . He would have been alot better option. At minimum gives baker a chance to heal

Point still stands that Keenum looks better against the Bengals backups. I am not sure how that really helps us though.

And to be clear, I am not saying Keenum should be our Qb going forward. 100% Baker is better than 100% Keenum

My point is that we pay him a lot of money to be a backup. We should have played him against Detroit and maybe another game to let Baker heal up

And that is why Keenum is not the man even with Baker hurt. Nuff said.

For real. Clowney is a better DE than Garrett , yeah I said it. Clowney makes plays that aren’t just sacks

My comments aren't bagging on Baker. They are bagging on KS for not sitting bakre a couple games to let him heal.
WHy are we paying a backup $10 million dollars if we don't think he can beat a winless Detroit?

No, because he tried to scoop the ball up and run it in when he should've just fell on it. It has been a disaster ever since.

Yet we have the same number of turnovers at halftime as we had in the entire game against the Steelers starters. I am not sure how anyone makes any meaninful comparisons though.

This is exactly it. It’s not about case being the answer, it’s about paying him for literally the exact situation this year. You think any other coach or team would have let their starter go out there with that many injuries and risk him more while paying a backup 10 mil a year .

STEFANSKI NOW ABOUT 0-16

0-16 in taking the field goal near the end of the first half??????

What a group of MISTAKES analytics are that with 9 seconds remaining

9 seconds, they couldn't see, they couldn't

OPEN THEIR EYES, and realize, they'd have been lucky to take a short FG try, and get some points and positive feelings going into the halftime.

I think that's a DOLT MOVE!
SOMETIMES YOU TAKE THE FG

YOU HAD 9 SECONDS. They haven't made a good play in crunch time ALL YEAR!!!!!

FIELD GOALS WHEN THEY HELP YOU!!!!

BUT YOU ONLY DECIDE TO TAKE FIELD GOALS IN GARBAGE TIME WHEN IT'S CLEAR THAT YOU CAN'T WIN THE GAME.
YOU DON'T HAVE TO BE BILL BELICHIC
THAT AFTER 2 YEARS, TO BE MAKING MESSED UP DECISIONS LIKE THAT
GAME
AFTER GAME
AFTER GAME
AFTER GAME
AFTER GAME!

What does this game mean anyway???? It's the difference between going
2-5 or worse
and NOT going 2-5 or worse in any stretch of the schedule.

AND THAT, is my watermark of coaching, at least one of them.

We went from 2 and 5 to 3 and 33 on that play. I'd say things have been a disaster since the Browns fumble.

Phillips is a horrible lb. If he’s not hurt he’s out of position. He won’t be here next year. JOK is undersized and always hurt. He’s going to have to prove he can play consistent, but I love what I’ve seen from JOK, if he had better backers next to him I think it would accelerate his growth

175 yards rushing!!!!!

and TWO DRIVES END INSIDE THE 20 WITH NO POINTS BECAUSE YOUR HEAD COACH CANT whip cream with an outboard motor.

ANALYZE THAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was just thinking the same thing. I really like him and the effort he puts forth.

It was that female ref. Chubb was trying to hand her the ball while she was looking for it from the other team, lol.

Equally annoying. Good point, Dave. SMH

Is Chubb hurt? Why is he not playing???? 9 carries so far.
Posted By: boofers20 Re: Gameday vs Cincinnati - 01/09/22 08:32 PM
I'm glad Johnson has kept up with his conditioning and cardio
Posted By: DaveyD Re: Gameday vs Cincinnati - 01/09/22 08:32 PM
Johnson is tired, play Chubb for the love of my Fantasy Championship game! willynilly
Posted By: LexDawg Re: Gameday vs Cincinnati - 01/09/22 08:33 PM
Interesting contrast. The Bengals played a ton of backups while needing a win to try and get the #2 seed. The Bengals have quite a few injuries, to backups playing instead of the starters.
Posted By: SuperBrown Re: Gameday vs Cincinnati - 01/09/22 08:34 PM
Johnson can make some silly good cuts.
Posted By: tru_dawgs Re: Gameday vs Cincinnati - 01/09/22 08:34 PM
Chubb seems to be lacking his usual burst, he kind of has reminded me more of Jordan Howard lately versus the usual Chubb...to his credit, we've had a lot of defenders blowing gaps ...but I do think he is banged up some.
Posted By: Dave Re: Gameday vs Cincinnati - 01/09/22 08:34 PM
Chubb is playing with bruised ribs.

It's gameday thread.
Gameday threads are for shouting, emotion. That's why there are game day threads, because, the moment!

(Silly Rabi, kicks are for trids)
If he wants to read Shakespeare buy a book!

Or better yet, Give one to the Browns Head Coach, on how to score a freaking POINT when you rush for 175 yards plus!

Good drive

Demetric Felton is a better play caller
than Kevin Stefanski is a touchdown scorer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

TOUCHDOWN BROWNS !!!!!!!!!!!! nanner

Demetric Felton !!!!! (Now go sit on the bench for the next 25 drives so analytics can figure out how to go for 41% on 4th downs.)

instead the Browns have analytics losers! analyzing how they can lose a game even when their own team goes out and Wins it, and wins it several times over.

They aren't in the playoffs because they analyzed a way to lose,
after Greedy Williams intercepted a pass in the packers or raiders loss, I forget which.

because
Analytics LOSES ON GAME DAYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

AS LONG AS YOU HAVE ANALYTICS, (and DEpo)

YOU WILL NEVER WIN A GAME BY DOUBLE DIGITS, AND NO CHAMPIONSHIP EITHER

ANALYZE THAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
