I know what your thinking, and I understand, but if this guy straightens up which he has according to reports, he is the best WR in this Draft ...
Posted By: ThatGuy Re: MOCK DRAFT 3.0 - 03/06/15 07:21 PM
I would honestly rather draft a guy that may have less overall potential, where I dont have to worry about him "staying straight"

Give me Jaelen Strong at 19 and I pretty much love that draft, barring the fact that I dont think some of those guys will be available at those spots..
Posted By: MemphisBrownie Re: MOCK DRAFT 3.0 - 03/06/15 07:37 PM
I could see 1B and 2 flip-flopping.

Very possible, I really would not be surprised to see us take Maxx Williams @ 19 with the probable departure of Jordan Cameron ...

Yeah, big 1st round risk for a team that just drafted Manziel, and has Gordon on the suspended list ...... again.

I can't see us going that direction on character question marks this year.

I'd love to get 7 picks in the first two rounds, too.

Do we really need a new thread for each new mock draft?

Good point.

Maxx at #19? There's just no way. Perhaps very late 1st round; more likely somewhere in the 2nd. Yes, he's the highest rated TE, but this year that's not saying much...
Posted By: CanadaDawg Re: MOCK DRAFT 3.0 - 03/06/15 09:44 PM
IF this panned out, I'd be pretty good with it but mainly because you've got guys that will be gone in first and second round going in the 3rd, 4th and 5th.

I'm in agreement on Dorial..... we can't risk another headcase at WR- not in the first round at least. If he goes on a serious slide, then maybe you roll the dice.
Posted By: DCDAWGFAN Re: MOCK DRAFT 3.0 - 03/06/15 09:51 PM
Marc a lot of folks are questioning the Green-Beckham pick and I have my concerns too.. I'm curious, when you pick him at 19, who else are you expecting to be on the board between Cooper, White, Parker, Strong, Perriman?
Posted By: clevesteve Re: MOCK DRAFT 3.0 - 03/06/15 09:53 PM
Well, he picked Perriman in the 4th, so I'm guessing he's still on there.

I would tend to agree that #19 might be too high and I think our second round pick will be too late. But maybe not.....players still on the board early into the second have surprised me many times before.

I Think 19 might be a little high also, so if I was the Browns and really liked Maxx Williams (I Do) I would try to trade down and pick up some more picks ...

He will not be on the Browns board.

As we have found out, talent is not measured only by athletic ability and potential.

That's a big if.

I read an article a few weeks ago, that an NFL scout spoke with one of his coaches and was told that DGB has absolutely no idea what he's doing on a football field, his football I.Q. is stupid low. That mixed with his off the field issues, no thanks. We rolled the dice on Gordon and got burned. I cannot for the life of me see Farmer/Haslam going that route again, not with all the other good looking WR's in this draft.
Posted By: MrKelso Re: MOCK DRAFT 3.0 - 03/09/15 08:16 PM
Ereck Flowers in the 3rd round? That would be a pipe dream.

He's the 1st tackle taken in some mock drafts floating around the internet.
Posted By: PastorMarc Re: MOCK DRAFT 3.0 - 03/10/15 12:57 AM
That was a mistake I had him in Rd. 2 and when I noticed I forget Maxx Williams I push him down without noticing ... superconfused
Posted By: WooferDawg Re: MOCK DRAFT 3.0 - 03/10/15 03:35 AM
i.e. missed it by that much....

I have seen mocks with Davis going in the late first as well.

Horseshoes, hand grenades and nuclear bombs... just gotta be close, but better try next time.

Maxx to Green Bay in the first is a pretty obvious choice.

If not, Denver is going to lose Julius Thomas..

Williams looks to be a late first round pick. Mock drafts I have seen have him going between 30 through 32.

That's why I would trade out of 19 to say 23-27 and pick up another 2 and then take him with our 2nd 1st ... thumbsup

I'm all for it Pastor. With Cameron surely gone, we need a playmaking TE. I still like our 2 backup TE's though.

I would rather us sign pot roast and free up drafting a DT for now. We need way to many weapons on O to draft any D in the first round. I want WR at 12 and OL 19. IDK if Peat will still be there at 19 but if he is we are set on the OL. And if White or Cooper are available at 12 you gotta grab one of them.
Posted By: SuperBrown Re: MOCK DRAFT 3.0 - 03/14/15 03:35 AM
White and Cooper will be longggggggggg gone at 12, needless to say 19.
