They're tough every week. The people that set the lines are pretty good. Plus, you've got the randomness factor of injuries and things like Josh Allen forgetting that Jordan Whitehead was on the other team.
I wasn't. I pretty much felt Philly would win the game. But giving them eight and a half points I felt was a little much. It's hard for me to put too much stock in the first week of games and all of last season the Vikings proved themselves to be worthy opponents. In the end the betting line on these games makes all but a very few of them very tough to call.
With the help of a meaningless FG in LA, I did manage to end the day 6-7. I could actually end up above .500 on the week somehow.
I need to win both games tonight just to have a .500 week. Need the Browns to win by 3 or more points and Carolina to either win or lose by no more than 4 points.
You suck. You suck, suck, suck. We tied, so congrats to you and AZ. We tied because I always pick Pittsburgh -- every week -- but decided this week the Browns were going to punch them in the face. I should have won outright, but I had this grand illusion that this was the day everything changes. Instead we have headlines only angry football gods could write.
Nick Chubbs season ended just yours in the Survival League
And GM, I originally took TB in the survivor pool this week just with a gut feeling, then second guessed and went with what ai thought was a lock. Not the first or last time the Browns will let me down.
j/c I know I'm a little late to the party but I wanted to give all of my adoring fans time to reply first.
But in all seriousness, I have no idea what's going on here or why this is happening. Luck alone is the overriding factor at play. But thanks to all who congratulated me.
Thanks guys! I have no rational explanation for any of this. And while it certainly feels good to win it three weeks in a row, like most things it looks better on paper than in real life. Even after winning for three weeks in a row, I still only have a two game lead for the season in the pool. Brian Schulz is only two games behind me and breathing down my neck.
I'm in a pick'em league at work and there is a dude who is picking games at like an 85% clip .. it's crazy how good some people can be (and there aren't many)
In my defense I couldn't reach my psychic before the games began. Her cell phone kept going to voicemail. By the time I reached her this morning it appears she forgot to pay her phone bill and she didn't see the disconnection of her phone coming. No doubt about, it I'm going to have to find another method of cheating.
it was a really hard week too ... and he dominated
Not gonna lie, that week I just locked the home team in for the early games because I ran out of time to think it over... and when I saw how well it was doing, I did it for the rest of the slate. Very scientific
Haha. That's what I do every Tuesday just so something is locked in incase I forgot... which I have a couple times... not with much success. That's awesome!
Thanks guys. I thought Cinci might make a game of it, but I didn't think they'd actually pull off the upset. My survivor streak finally ended on that one. Felt like lots of tough games to pick. The lines usually seem about right and I'm just guessing. It's good to be lucky some weeks.
