For a long time I never missed a big boxing match.

However, with the passing of my very close friend (who was a professional boxing judge).

I have backed away from boxing and have not seen much for years.

Tonight on Netflix this fight is available if you are a subscriber so I will get to watch. I have seen Alvarez a number of times. Crawford I know. I might have seen some of his early fights.

These guys are both legit. Good boxer punchers. Both are very skilled.

I am really looking forward to the fight tonight. I will be thinking of my old pal. We watched so many fights together over many years. We made these type fights an event. We would have gatherings at someones house for all the big PPV. Big party atmosphere with food and drink. Lots of memories.

Should be a good fight.

Having a few buddies over tonight to watch outdoors at my place. Should be a great fight.

Card starts @ 9 / main event will probably be about 11pm

Hopefully Netflix doesn't have any streaming issues this time.

Should be a good time. I love the atmosphere of a big fight.

Boxing can be incredibly dramatic.

One fight I remember so well was the Hearns vs Haggler fight. All week leading up to the fight. We were freaking out. We knew the fight was going to be killer.

We went out to eat fight night with a crowd and then went to the Omni in Atlanta it was a big screen PPV thing.

What a fight that was. I don't think anyone sat down. It was haymaker, haymaker from the get go. You knew it would never go the distance.

Have a blast tonight.

I got my second wind and watched because around 10:00 I was almost out.

The fight was ok. Crawford did enough. He kept Alvarez off balance all night. Alvarez could never really let his punches go. Crawford would never be there.

The fight reminded me of Mayweather versus Pacquiao.

Crawford is a very good boxer.

As a fan I find fights like this disappointing because they don't really throw down and exchange bombs.

Good fight. Some complained about the undercard; I thought it was solid. Christian Mbilli vs. Lester Martinez was a great fight. It was cool to see Fernando Vargas Jr., looks a lot like his dad in the ring, but definitely not quite ready for prime time.

Crawford fought a great fight. I didn't know how things would go down against someone that is bigger and can walk through brick walls, but a great plan and greater execution won the night.

People also complaining about live music between fights; I thought it was great. Dana White is definitely a polarizing figure but too many seem to hate him just for the sake of hating him.

All-in-all, it was great to watch a night of boxing without paying an arm and leg and wonder if it would suck. But please, for the love of all things good, make these headliners go off a lot sooner. Nobody wants to stay up til 2am to watch a good fight!

This was awesome. You can tell the dude had the abs flexed for impact, but it didn't work out lol.
