This one is on Pettine. I like him as a head coach, but he has room to grow, and time management is one really important area where he needs to grow a lot. Another is deciding 1 or 2 following a TD. *Sigh* We had this game. The team did a lot of really good things today .... but just could not finish things off when it mattered. I kinda wish I could drink. Well said. I agree completely.

I'm so freaking over this team! Let me count the ways:
1) McCown not even looking at the defense when throwing a pick 6, having it in his head he was making that throw regardless of what the defense was doing.
2) Not calling timeout with a minute left at the end of the half to give yourself a shot of putting up points before halftime.
3) Going for a 2 point conversion for the heck of it costing you a 1 point lead in the 4th and possibly the win.
4) McCown holding onto the ball taking unnecessary sacks.
5) Getting cute with play calling in overtime and not running it to pick up a measly 13 yards to get into FG range for the win.
OMFG, I haven't been this PO'd since watching a Pat Shurmur coached game with Brandon Weeden at QB!

This was every bit as ugly as the michigan loss yesterday.

Horrible loss by our team today. The play calling was terrible, especially after Mingo's interception. No screens, slants or running plays to see if we could get into field goal range or God forbid score a touchdown. I do not understand why we went for a 2 point conversion after taking a 20-16 lead. The very next play our stellar defense allows a long touchdown pass to give the lead right back to Denver. Pettine is not the coach I see holding the Lombardy trophy if the Browns ever get there and win.

Agreed, I am just so freaking angry with this team and coaching right now I just can't stand it. The game was handed right to you multiple times and you STILL cannot win, I don't really know what to say at this point, just so darn frustrated, just plain inexcusable and Pettine looks like he doesn't even care.

That would have been a very long field goal and not a guaranteed 3 points.
It's supposed to be hard! If it wasn't hard, everyone would do it. The hard... is what makes it great!
