Here are my rankings....

1. Josh Rosen ( Highest ceiling )
2. Baker Mayfield ( Best intangibles )
3. Sam Darnold ( This guy is like a Lienart / Kizer combo to me )

Maybe because he not as famous as the other three. Honestly, neither Mayfield or Jackson is worth number 1. Rosen is the best qb by far in the draft from what I have read about him, and the analysis I have read on here.

Do you really thing Lamar Jackson is going to end up playing QB in the NFL?

You should have included him in the possible picks. I think you can edit him in?

One of the 4 QBs mentioned have won a Heisman. It wasn't any of the 3 in the poll. Not that the Heisman makes a guy an NFL QB, but he's more than a little famous.

I'd recommend that you not believe everything you read. Especially not on this board.

As far as the poll itself, I'm not sure serving the most suspensions and having the longest rap sheet are a sign of the best intangibles.

Jackson is the guy everybody is overlooking because he looks skinny. Tom Brady was 6'4", 211 at the combine. Jackson is younger and already at least 211.

Without a doubt. He'll probably play a lot longer than Baker Mayfield does as well. He literally does everything that Baker does, but much better.

Yes.

Edit: Maybe we should just draft Rosen #1 overall and Jackson with our ~#10th pick.

Let's just revolutionize the game by playing a QB and a QB/RB/WR hybrid all the time.

I am actually serious and think it could work.

QB Rosen
QB/WR/RB Jackson
RB/WR Johnson
RB Crowell
WR Gordon
WR Coleman

Yes. ( See Christian McCaffrey)

...If we're going to "revolutionize the game by playing a QB and a QB/RB/WR hybrid all the time," I'd rather stick with Kizer and not waste a pick on Rosen. I'd rather use the pick on a DB like Fitzpatrick.

That's one of the things I like about Lamar. If QB doesn't work out/Kizer improves, he can succeed in other ways.

If Rosen bombs at QB, you've pretty much got an expensive hat rack.

I'm the only one who picked Baker Mayfield?

Mayfield is the perfect fit for us and it's not even close. Things could change, but at the moment, all in on Baker.

Mayfield is Johnny 2.0. His game doesn't translate into the NFL. He is a prospect, we don't need a prospect.

Baker Mayfield is probably going to win the Heisman and have his Oklahoma team in the CF playoff.

Josh Rosen is on a 5 and 6 team the 2nd best traditional powerhouse of his state.

Only one of these guys would I ligit guess has a chance to give me a 3-4 touchdown per game average, even for a segment of a season in the NFL.

That's Mayfield.

Get him and don't look back.

I voted "None" because I'd like to either sign Kirk Cousins or swing a trade for Andrew Luck (if healthy). I'm flat out of patience waiting for this team to achieve simple competitiveness, much less contending for the playoffs. If we bring a rookie in, I can already hear the FO, the media, and posters here on DT telling me we have to give him 2-3 years to become a competent pro QB.

I disagree. I think he is a bit of a character risk but I think he will be able to channel all that emotion to the field. Mayfield to me is a Favre type.

Kid has a chip on his shoulder. Jonny really didn't. He just wanted to party and has an oil trust fund to fall back on.

They really aren't. I saw them play Colorado at the Rose Bowl earlier this year and their defense is TERRIBLE.

Their receivers aren't that great either. They had 4 or 5 drops in that game and were dropping balls during warm ups.

When you draft QBs like Mayfield, Tebow and Johnny, you're pretty much asking them to by time so that the defense will break from their responsibilities and focus on the QB. It's a reason why these types of QBs do really well in the Big 12 but suck against the NFL and Alabama.

Except Watson did well in the NFL and against Alabama. I think Tebow and Manziel both gave Alabama problems as well. Mayfield may get his shot in the playoffs.

As long as they can read D's, "running" QBs can be successful in the NFL.

I would say that Deshaun Watson is a better passer than the first three. Tebow went 2-1 against Bama and 1-1 as a starter. Manziel was also 1-1. Mayfield will have his shot, but he's not the best against disciplined defenses.

I really doubt that Manziel, Tebow or Mayfield can read a defense accurately for most of the game. However, they can create chaos via their scrambling. They are very good at identifying open receivers during this part, but that won't win you many games in the NFL. Defenses are way too disciplined to run downfield to attack a QB, while leaving their coverage responsibilities. I also believe that running QB's have the best success at the next level as the game continues to frequent more college concepts.

Rosen.

I'm not blown away by him, but I think he can make all the throws.

I have zero faith that our front office will even consider him.

You spelled "Logan Woodside" wrong with the 4th choice.

Is my Toledo bias showing?

Logan Woodside is the perfect name for a backup QB since he would be riding the pine.
