Anyone from the 60's-70's will remember the exciting duels of the Mongoose and Snake! Probably even had the Hot wheels too!

This is sad news, but we are all getting older. I've been going to 'the drags' since the mid-sixties and quite familiar with the Mongoose. He will be missed by many...

"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."

During my "drag racing years" (when I was about 11 years old). It was Big Daddy Garlits (Don Garlits) and Don "The Snake" Prudhomme.

With that many horses under the hood, you could really fly.

Hey, those guys are still alive!

Would the majority of modern whippersnappers even know "funny car" racing?

This was legendary matchup. RIP! Seems an appropriate farewell.

Nope. They'd be lucky to recognize John Force.
