Welp. Another Saturday morning waiting for football to return. Anyway, got bored and started looking at draft histories. I don't see what all the mystery is about really. Dorsey likes defense and has drafted 1 WR in the top 100
in his life Without further adieu.
Since getting a voice in the draft room that people listened to.
2012 (Green Bay):
1-28) Nick Perry - OLB
2-51) Jerel Worthy- DT
2-62) Casey Hayward- DB
...no 3rd round pick but they came back and took Mike Daniels-DT in the 4th
2013 Kansas City:
1-1) Eric Fisher- OT
3-63) Travis Kelce- TE (the highest "pass-catcher")
3-96) Knile Davis- RB (I forgot about this cat)
2014 Kansas City:
1-23) Dee Ford- Edge
3-87) Phillip Gaines- CB
2015 Kansas City:
1-15) Marcus Peters- CB
2-49) Mitch Morse- G
3-76) Chris Conley- WR (YOU FOUND HIM!)
3-98) Steven Nelson- CB
2016 Kansas City:
2-37) Chris Jones- DT (no 1st this year)
3-74) Kei'Varie Russell- CB (flop! That's what you get for trying to take all the DB's, John)
I can't really bring myself to count 2017 as Dorsey was essentially out the door but even then they took a DE in the 2nd after Mahommes.
Anyway. 5 years; 5 DB's in the top 100.
5 years; 1 WR...just sayin'
